hey i just got my ap...i went and test drove it but i really cant tell the difference. i have mm custom map. is the performance upgrade enough to be felt cuz i cant tell. i do love the unit however, all the real time information, mpg and 0-60 and 1/4 mile stuff is awesome. but does anybody have any input on the power output? thanks, please dont flame me for askin a stupid question, i just need some input
Please refer to the first post for installation and first use instructions. You'll find where you are supposed to use the included maps to ensure your Mass Airflow Sensor has the correct calibration.
You do this by monitoring your Short Term and Long Term Fuel Trims shortly after flashing and within the first couple drive cycles.
Once your trims are under 5% +/- email Mazdamaniac, don't PM, with information requested in the 1st post of this thread. Be sure to attach the calibration you used. He will then send you a custom tuned calibration with air/fuel changes which will help create more power.
Refer to the 1st post for all your questions.

True, I want to, but any half-assed inspection here would notice that. I guess RP Supercat or something like that might be an option next year, can't afford it until then + gotta get a friend to install and probably take it off if it fails emissions test in the tests cars gotta do every other year.
Guess I'll just log real quick and go to stock map to be safe.

yes is works great. Now I need to figure out how to save it so I can send it to MM. How do you read lambada? When I log with ATR it puts my AFR in lambada. When i get above 6500 RPM my ratio goes into the 12's but I thought lambada was a way diff reading than the standard afr readings

b) lambda = afr/14.6 or afr = lambda * 14.6

Allright, someone will have to clarify. Are you using it with MM's maps in the ECU? Because the software says you can't, and I can't get it to work, so all logic says you guys talk balony

Or you could say if you are doing something out of the ordinary. Also Jeff might have done some modifications to the latter map that makes it locked out, as it's just days old.

Today = 1 month since I sent all my info in.. how long does MM usually take to get the custom calibrations back to us? I'm just curious, since it's gonna start getting colder out and the 8 won't get to see as much hard driving in the winter.

^^ typically just a few weeks turnaround.
The new firmware that Cobb released threw a monkey wrench into the whole thing though.
He's having to redo all 1,100 + maps that he had and trying to catch up on emails.
