Today being my birthday and all I was pleasantly surprised when my AP arrived at the door!
Thanks Jeff but I never recieved the email asking for my info that you have in the first post.
Should I just email it to you with my first data logs and after I get my correct base calibration?

The follow-up goes out a few weeks later.
The first post of this thread contains ALL of the info in BOTH e-mails.
Excellent option.
Unfortunately, there are only 4 or 5 Cobb authorized tuners for the RX-8 in the country and only 2 will work on boosted RX-8s.

one of them is revolutions performance in colorado springs, which is 10 mins from me. but i dont go to them. my tuner is real cheap, and has been tuning rotaries for over 10 years. he is using the street tuner software right now, and by the 1st of next year he will be a cobb authorized tuner

Instructions...
There's a lot of good information out in the forum threads but it's buried in a lot of crosstalk. A Mazdamaniac FAQ locked down thread that only Jeff could add information to would help. When questions are asked more than once from buyers or new information from this thread pops up, that'd be a good place to drop it in.

Warm up the car.
Turn it off.
Plug the AccessPORT in.
Load the MazdaManiac "1_0" calibration.
Start the car again.
Look at the fuel trims on the "live data" display on the AccessPORT.
If the fuel trim is net POSITIVE, use the corresponding "1_Xb"correction calibration.
If the fuel trim is net NEGATIVE, use the corresponding "1_Xa" correction calibration.
Replace "X" with the amount your fuel trim is off, give or take.
Drive around for a day or so.
Send me a GRAPH showing your WOT AFRs in 2nd and 3rd gears and your AFR at 4200 RPM with the cruise control on on a flat road with the A/C and all of your lights turned on.
Make sure that in the BODY of your e-mail you answer the 10 Deadly Questions in POST #1 of this thread.
You can make the graph with a cocktail napkin and a crayon for all I care. Just make sure its a graph and representative of the reality as observed or you will get some weird results!
Could it possibly be easier than that? Watch the video. Read the first post.

Hey jeff i was lookin at the custom map you sent me and i saw that the file type is different than the ones my AP manager accepts. I couldnt save or open the file using my AP manager and i think this is the reason. I have installed the most recent version and still nothing. The file types that are supported are .ptm and .stm. I think that its are reffering to the ProTuner Maps and the StreetTuner Maps. So it seems like either you have a newer version of the AP manager that supports the file .xls or i have no idea whats going on. any ideas...????
thx

I send the calibrations as a .ZIP file.
The last e-mail that I sent out with an .XLS was the e-mail explaining how to make datalogs.
Are you "Derekobi" at Hotmail?
Does the e-mail that this file is attached to start with "You are receiving this e-mail because you are listed as a current MazdaManiac AccessPORT customer."
