Jeff,
I ordered a AP from you for an 04 MT and it was recently totaled. I now have an 06 MT and need your maps for it. It's completely stock at the moment. I downloaded the stock Cobb maps from their site, but I want the MM maps.

Hey MazdaManiac.

If I was to rebuy an AP and the first owner bought it from you. How would that work? I would like to get your tunes. From what I know he only has one map or so from you. So if I rebuy it, would that mean I still can get the other left over and 6 months to do it?

Thanks.

been discussed. If you look at the format, you just need to be able to provide the info required. So you'd need to get the original purchaser's email. You'll have the same limits to tunes that were already in effect. So basically, 6 months from when it was bought. When that time runs out, you have to buy his tunes again.

Jeff,

I am in the market for a new exhaust and have the AEM intake. Which one would you recommend for the best results with my AP? As always THANKS!!

okay.. so I haven't submitted this to Jeff yet because I feel I may have screwed up the MAF calibration process..

I had done a few stock data logging runs a week before installing the AP:

Notice how I'm at 100% load at WOT.

Now here is the data log I did today at WOT 2nd gear..

That is WOT and my load varies between 87-93% not 100% like stock. Also my AFR's seem to be all over the place but that is probably hand in hand with the other problem..

So what does anyone else think? Did I screw up the MAF calibration? I'm using v1c_5a of MM's base maps.

edit: and this confused me:

In MM's first post in this thread he says:

If the STFT is a negative value, you will use one of the files that end in "b". If it is a positive value, you will use a file that ends in "a".
On the last page he says this:
If the fuel trim is net POSITIVE, use the corresponding "1_Xb"correction calibration.
If the fuel trim is net NEGATIVE, use the corresponding "1_Xa" correction calibration.
So now I'm confused..

Yeah I did follow the first post.

I can't figure out why my logging won't pick up 100% engine load as it did when it was stock..

aye! how about you mind your own business. There are rules to proper business communication etiquette and I'm asking for him to apply some of those. When someone sends something, it takes no time at all to send a quick reply saying "I'm working on it" or "I received your information". Do not question my appreciation and undestanding for Jeff. Without Jeff I would not be driving my 8 the way I do. And I've waited patiently for months for something back. So once again mind your business, you know nothing of my situation! Thank You

No, I'm pretty sure you are in there somewhere.

As I noted earlier, I am back to a previous version of the software and trying to catch back up to where I was two weeks ago.

No. I don't mess with CalcLOAD limit on N/A applications.
On FI cars, I alter the limit by the amount that it actually increases on that application.

Did you ever get a reply on why the new version would make things completely rich?

No. I suspect that it is screwing up the MAF table somehow.
I found that if I place a non-linear value at one end of the table or the other on ANY version of the software, the PCM freaks out.

If you think I'm slow to respond to things, try getting answers from Cobb - it can be glacial at times.

So Jeff, what do you make of my logs?

Do you think maybe the maps you sent me may have been made with the bad tuner software you got last week?

Damn =/ I didn't think Cobb would be that slow...I remember when cobb was a new player and my friend was tuning his 02 WRX...they were super fast to respond to everything...they even provided him with a proper vacuum line to control boost properly!

All is well, as long as I get a revised map eventually even though I think i'm near the end of my 6 months ^_^ I don't really have any thing else planned...at least not while it's all white and winter outside =(

-Yes Business, you thought it was a hobby for him?

-"insisting and insisting" - once again you have no idea what you're talking about.

-waiting for 5 months and just now asking a question is definitely not within the realm of insisting there - "youngin".

-how many times must YOU read....MIND YOUR BUSINESS!

Thank You Jeff
