Why would you log with the wrong calibration?!?!?! ![Banghead](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/banghead.gif)
Well when i turned the car my Fuel terms were STFT:-0
LTFT: -3 I didnt see any reason to change it.
after going to the dealership to get some warranty work i switched back to the Base map and the FT's shot up to -5
it was still withing range +-6

Jeff: new firmware updates out for the AP. (per Cobb's new thread on this board)
Which software / firmware should we be running for the maps you are developing?

I switched back to the Base map yesterday and the FT have been much better than how they were before.. strange..
First start up they were at -0 and -0
Now they are LTFT : -1
STFT -1,-0
I just got confused because no where on your instruction does it say the base map could be the MAF calibration your car can use.. it seems as if you have to choose another once you first start it up depending on fuel terms.
does that make any sense?

You're just picking the initial map that seems to give you the lowest LTFT after driving around [See MM's instructions for specifics]. 1a-5a, 1b-5b, or 0. The trims are the only difference between them, so to address AFRs and optimize you have to pick one and work with MM from there. In most cases, more than one of the initial map choices are perfectly fine to start from. Just gotta be within that range he posted [I believe up to +/-12].

Yet another complete re-work of my library is under way.
This will require everyone that is in need of a new calibration to "start over", but that shouldn't be terribly stressful for most.
The new AccessPORT firmware is awesome. Go get it (links in the first post).
If you have custom calibrations which contain specialized info (fuel injector upgrades, unusual intakes, FI, etc.) there will still be an additional step after acquiring the new "base" calibrations to match your particular application.
Look for the first post to be updated with a new procedure and information.
All original purchasers are entitled to updates, regardless of how long you have had your AccessPORT, so don't worry about the time limitation on your Calibration Service contract.
Furthermore - the Asian, European and Australian versions are now ready. You can place your order by following the link in my SIG or go to
http://www.mazdamaniac.com/cobb/accessport.htm
Units will begin shipping in January to Europe, but almost immediately to Asia and Australia or any region that ships Asian or European spec RX-8s.
LOL.
Yeah, your stuff should ship tomorrow or Monday.

Damn Jeff, grab a cool Jaeger and get back to work.
So those of us who sent you Data a while back should just hang tight? (I didn't see anything different for us on the 1st post)
Will update AP this weekend.

ok so let me get this straight?? I sent you an email yesterday concerning a new tune but what I need to do is get new firmware and redo my loggs. Should I also rest the ecu and make it relearn?
kinda wanted to start from scratch anyway.
