Thanks easy. I've read the directions like ten times. I don't know what the third file is.

Did you download and flash a file from the database?
i.e. - MM 2004 USDM BASE.ptm or something to that effect?

Then you "downloaded above". Attach it.

This is the only way I can keep track of who is running what.

Ok I'm assuming that I can ask a question here without getting flamed. So anyway when summer comes I'm going to hopefully have my car completed, I'll be running a gt35r with an 8psi wastegate, injector and fuelpump upgrade and so on. I'm not drag racing here so I don't need ever single hp out of a tuning setup, I just want it to be reliable and safe, will the accessPort work for me?

If its not greyed out on your unit, it'll work.
If you need one made, I can do it.

Got my ap back from cobb today and just finished the second drive cycle! Will do the logging tonight or tomorrow morn then will be sending the files to MM. Funny story, I received my AP from MM orginally last Thursday 3/4, surprisingly enough, it would not communicate with my ecu, so i called Cobb to try to trouble shoot, found that one of the pinn's in the grommet attached to the unit itself was cut in half or more? Dunno how that happened but they quickly send me a return shipping label, fixed it and got it back to me today.

As for the base map, seems to be running great so far, car is an 06 shinka with i/h/e.

Also, thanks to Jeff for offering this great service, 595 for AP + tuning rocks!

Alright i have a weird problem. Ill be watching my accessport like the fuel ratio, for example, then after about 5 minutes it will just freeze. I can go back and select something different but they all just say "--" so its like it loses connection or something. I also had a CEL saying U1900 but it went away. The accessport still does the same thing. Any ideas whats wrong with it? I cant get any data logs because it does this.

thanks

It seems to be happening to a few people here and there.
Cobb has been replacing the units or repairing them as needed.

You can use the Cobb warranty page to get instructions to get this done.

Interesting - I did not know this. I had attributed this to a bad connection where the OBDII port is. I noticed this happening when I hit heavy bumps. I usually reset the AP by detaching the USB plug from the AP and reattaching it.

I'll see when I have time to send it back to Cobb, if that is the case.

It is usually a problem with the way your OBD port is - many are loose.
I have one customer here in Phoenix that has a car that just locks-up AccessPORTs.
We tried several different units (including my own) and it would lock them all up.

But some people have had units that lock up for other reasons.

Alright - I guess mine is the ODB port being loose then. I once checked it by just tapping the port while the AP was running, and poof the thing froze.
