just go to mazdamaniac's web page for the accessport and he explains the purpose and how its used there pretty much.
Hey MM, prolly a stupid question, but ill ask anyway...
When running the calibrations for the idling and running calibrations, am i running it with the greddy piggyback on, or am i just running the car with just the ecu by itself. Im not really sure how the computer would react to driving the car turbo without the piggyback...

ok, thats what i figured. Ive been reading up on how greddys emanage ignition timing is off. So pretty much when i first select the base calibration, there is a turbo option so that the ecu wont freak out then? Thats good to hear. Thanks!

For some reason I can't seem to access the live data on the AP. Keeps saying can't contact ECU? Tried turning car off/on, unplug/replug the AP.
Currently running the MM base map with the latest firmware.
ANy thoughts?

Jeff, I need my base calibration please!!!
Jeff,
I've been wating for 6 weeks to get my custom base cal. You said you were sending it momentarily in an email, but that was about 3 weeks ago. I'm dead in the water until I get that cal. My cal service expires this month, April, and I will re-up it as soon as I get the promised customized base cal.
I've tried contacting you several times about it, but don't hear back from you. Your PM box is full as well.
Thanks,
Joe Patterson

Ap :(
I got my AP almost a week ago and ever since opening the box, the screen is about 5% illuminated.. i literally have to turtle into my shirt to barely, and i mean barely read the screen.. im not trying to send it back because i have to at least pass my emissions by the end of the month (few days)
is there anyyyyy thing i could possibly do to make it easier to read that i might be able to do without voiding my warranty or should i not even try and just send it back..
really upset about it.. waiting almost 2 weeks to get it and i can hardly use it.. damn subaru shyt

Hey MM, Im interested in purchasing the Cobb Accessport for a AUSDM 2004 m/t, i know you provide the calibration service for AUSDM but i was just wondering if you knew if there was any way to do dyno tuning in Australia (Melbourne) using the Cobb (race/pro software). If i do go with your service is it possible to access your maps to fine tune on a dyno if needed in the future? (as it obviously impossible to get you to do the dyno tuning :P) or would i have to start from scratch?

Hi,
I´m from spain, I have a 2006 rx8 version (231hp) with 58.000 km. , i have it with cat deleted (straigh line from headers to exhaust) and racing beat exhaust, Also i have kN Air panel.
The last saturday, i went to dyno and here is my graph
Like you see the final HP was 212hp (182 rwhp) and in the torque line, at 6500rpm there´s a down curve.
Another OEM Rx8 also have the same graph but with 5-6 less hp but the line was the same.
My question is, with the access port, you can improve the line? how much gain approximate do you think that will get?
if you want, you can answer by private message.
thanks

Your graph looks ok and you will probably be able to improve it with the AccessPORT but the gains change from car to car so it's hard to make an estimate.
With better coils and a tune i'm sure that you'll see some interesting gain, for a non turbo car.

Hey guys..i'm having some trouble with the Accesstuner RACE. I've flashed my RX with one of the tunes on the AP, and then downloaded a base map from Cobb (I believe these are open maps so that you can edit them, they're on Cobbs website) so I could edit that and import it via AP. I can import the cobb file and successfully flash the car. But if I edit the map in the Accesstuner RACE software, and save it again with another name, and try to flash the car with that map, it says it's locked to S/N:3198
Any map I touch with the software isn't able to flash, with this same error. So..what gives?

Hey Jeff, I submitted my first data logs only to realize that my cruise data log wasn't quite the 30s minimum. I quickly resent with a (hopefully) usable data log. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please don't assassinate me..

I know I sound like a dumbass who didnt do the "Search" tune function to get the info, but just wondering if there are any new updates for stage I N/A tune since 2008 summer? (e.g significant bugs, omfg free hp discovery, etc)
Does it matter if maps are tunned in 2008 or in 2010 for the same car with same setup other than changes due to aging? Will it be beneficial to get a "re"-tune by Jeff 2 years after he custom tuned it in person?
I am too lazy / dumb / chicken / above 3 to try learn the tuning by myself, however, I do believe once Jeff tuned your car and its "COMPLETED" it is DONE...unless I am wrong.
I would like to know the answer since I may have a chance to join the "2010 Canuk MazdaManic All You Can Eat Tuning Party" with all of Jeff's chicks in his avatar!
Thanks and have a great day!!!

I zoom therefore I am.
The first map you get from Jeff will be a base tune. You use this tune as a starting point to begin logging data. This data is then sent to Jeff to get your actual tune specific to your car.
