Hi,

is there like a standard table for the accessport stats...

to what the norm is for a mildly mod NA setup (6mt with aftermarket intake, exos) would be like for these:-

Battery Volt --> 13.5v - 14.0v
Coolant Temp --> 70 - 100? (degrees)
Equiv. Ratio -->
Inj. Pulse Width -->
Inj. Duty Cycle -->
Intake Temp. --> 28 - 40 (degrees)
Knock Retard --> *Should always be 0 right?
Calculated Load -->
Long Term FT -->
Mass Airflow -->
MAF Voltage -->
Short Term FT -->
Met. Oil Pos. -->
Ign. Tim. Lead Coil -->
Ign. Tim. Trail Coil -->
Ign. Seperation -->

so that we all could roughly gauge if we are on the health of our car..

or if this has a link or posted b4, could u kindly guide me to it?

Thanks!!!

There really aren't simple "normal" values for this.
First of all, change your settings to "standard", not "metric" (like it says in the instructions). I will not accept submission in metric.

Here are the normal ranges for those values, give or take:

Battery Volt --> 11.9v - 14.7v
Coolant Temp --> ambient to 230°F
Equiv. Ratio --> 11.03 to 20
Inj. Pulse Width --> 0 to 23ms
Inj. Duty Cycle --> 0 to 100%
Intake Temp. --> ambient to 180°F
Knock Retard --> 0
Calculated Load --> 0 to 106 on an NA application, up to 205 on FI
Long Term FT --> -25% - +25%
Mass Airflow --> 0 to 220g/sec for NA, up to 460g/sec for FI
MAF Voltage --> 0v - 5v
Short Term FT --> -25% - +25%
Met. Oil Pos. --> 0 to 60-something
Ign. Tim. Lead Coil --> -5° - 44°
Ign. Tim. Trail Coil --> -15° - 44°
Ign. Seperation --> 0° - 15°

What maps avail?

Hey gang...

Been reading the thread abnout access port maps... but could not find a clear answer.

If we buy a access port from Mazdamaniac but without the "custom" map addon.. are we still able to acces the database of maps for different "stages" like Stage 1a, 1b, 1c etc....Stage 2a, 2b... etc....

Thanks :-)

I don't know why you would want to (as it is pretty well documented how much more miss there is than hit with the OTS calibrations), but those are still available on Cobb's site until they pull them.

Thanks. for the info....

I am going to get my mechanic buddy to set the maps once we do up the mods. They curently race an RX7. I trust his work.

I was reading abnout the "race tuner" software... I mentioned it to him... Sounds like he is familiar with it.

Looking forward to my new toy!!! :-)

Thanks gang... :-)

Thanks Mazda....

That is what I saw when reading about them as well... I was just wondering if they were still available.
I did not see a link on thier site for anything other than one map for Stage 1, Antitheft, Economy, Stock Style and Valet Mode, and they appear to be all for Manual Tranny 6 port cars?
My car is a 2004 GT Auto Tranny.
Is there somewhere else I should be looking? or is the database location sent to us when we receive the COBB?

For now I am looking to change the exhaust
and increase my redline a little.

Later I will be adding a turbo kit. When I do that, I will be looking for some "tuning" expertice. I am sure I will be knocking on your door.
Thanks again!!

Ya... I am new to all this tuning chit... We all were at some point? No?

I just read in Cobb fourm that there are no stage 2 maps for the RX8.

I also live in Canada not the USA, so those maps are also not applicable.

Looks like we will need to build the ourself, or have Maniac do it.

Thanks.

Have Jeff tune it - there is no one in the World with more RX8 OEM PCM tuning under his belt.

Access Tuner Race:

I requested a copy of the software and they said they would send a download link in 24 hours. That was weeks ago and they have not responded to my follow-up email.

Any idea where I can download this or do I need the download link directly from them for it to work with my AP?

Jeff,

Just curious about throttle position for this one.... I'm getting 67% max throttle position with your NA base map. I am logging around 200g/s, so it doesnt seem too out of the ordinary but is 67% the max the throttle position will open? Might try giving my maf + throttle body a clean to see if I can get some more flow.

That is the correct maximum value.
It is duty cycle, not opening angle.

Can anyone offer some help regarding running the cobb access port with the oil metering pump block off mod? The dealer is charging a ridiculous amount for the pump and Apex does not make a power FC for the RX8. Will the cobb accessport be able to adjust the ecu for the mod as well as keeping the car from going into limp mode??

my car is immobile at the moment any help on this matter would be awesome!!

I don't think the Cobb can help in that regard but MM would have a definite answer.
