The COBB cannot disable the OMP as it's tied directly into the limp mode system.

You technically could disconnect the OMP but you will need to find a way to block off that port on the motor. Finally, you'll need to run a serious amount of pre-mix to make up for the lack of an OMP.

If this is a street car I'd highly suggest trying to find one used and having a shop install it.

Just to add a foot note to Flashwing's post, the ap is capable of adjusting the input of the oil thru the omp.

So I logged some data and found that my MAF seems to be a bit low (Maxing out at 196g/s). I gave my K&N drop in a recharge, haven't put it back in yet it's still drying before I re-oil it, but it wasn't very dirty to begin with. If my g/s isn't immediately increased I will resort to cleaning the MAF wire and throttle body but my car is a 2004 MT with 25000 Miles on it only, so I can't see them being too much of an issue (but you never know).

Getting the more obvious things out of the way, if my g/s come back to be still low what is the next step I should take? SSV, Aux and VDI valve check/clean? Seafoam (Remember low mileage vehicle)? VFAD check? I would like to get this sorted out so my car is running optimally before I install my turbo in September.

Here is the data log I took. It is a 3rd gear pull to redline. Ambient temperature was about 70*F, was a fairly flat, straight road with little to no wind.

Thanks!

So with my newly oiled K&N I tried another 3rd gear pull and logged 2g/s more, maxing out at 197g/s... still not around the 210-220 point that I believe to be about where it should sit. I will try cleaning my MAF and TB but I am not suspecting any major increases from this; still looking for a reply to where to go after this?

IT is too late.
However, there will probably be a few new units available next week since some people have begun to cancel their orders.
Stay tuned here for updates.

Ok, so it's too late to order the AP. Forgive my ignorance, but, I'm new, not only to the forum, but also the rx8. I have owned an '88 RX-7, so I am a little aware of the engine, it's mechanics and it's maintenance.
So far I haven't had any upgrades, but I've been looking into getting a similar setup to what mysql has. Is the AP necessary?

Yes. And so are the Sohn OMP Adapter and the BHR Ignition System. After those reliability mods are done you will be worry-free.

You order on one of the last possible days it's available and expect it not to be back ordered?
