correct.
the TPMS is considered a 'safety warning' so cobb does not allow it to be disabled.

I assume my air bag light can not be disabled.
I have aftermarket seats and have not been able to get the resistor
to fool the system

Oh, I supposed that means I should pull over and check the tires when the thing starts flashing like crazy on the track? (Or wait, maybe I'm confusing with the P0302 CEL... )

Dammit, I paid money for it, I own the car, I should be able to disable whatever. Safety Fascists be damned!

Black tape.

If you snip the non-constant power wire on the TPMS module (under the upper-center dash panel), you can stretch the warning out to a 1/2 hour or so.
I never see the light during a track session (then again, I have more important things filling my attention).

Uh, I'm hoping it goes away when I put in the BHR ig-flaming-nition...

I'm a big fan of black tape, MM. Use it over the blinding high-beam indicators on most of my cars. If I start taping up the blinkenlights on the RX-8 dash it's going to look like a black-tape mummy...

Ok, so I was just checking out the ap, and I had it plugged into my laptop, then plugged it into my OBD II port, read all the info fine.

Now however, when I went to plug it into my OBD II, nothing happened!!! The screen didn't turn on!

I noticed that a prong is missing on the ap (I have a newer edition?). Is this normal??

That is intentional. It's keyed like that so you can only plug it in one way.

I still don't know why the screen won't come on when plugged into the car... It works if I plug it into my laptop

Okie dokie, so after reading through this thread for the last 3 effin hours, I re-read the instruction manual and it clearly says "Connect the small end of the OBD-II cable to the 10 pin port on the bottom of the AccessPORT."

I only have 9 pins

it's a 10 pin port with 9 actual pins. make sure the dongle is firmly connected to your OBDII port.. it can feel like it is, when it isnt.

oh.. and your car is on when you're doing this, right?

You might want to watch this:

http://www.mazdamaniac.com/apinstall.htm

It's using the earlier version but the steps are the same. We don't provide short term fuel trim adjustments with the base calibration. The main thing is that the car is on when you try to flash and to follow the warm up process for obtaining logs.

Power goes to the OBD-II port even with the car off, I believe. I think you have a problem somewhere.

I've been driving around with the MM base tune for a week now and I really wish I had bought this sooner. It took Cobb to stop selling it to get me off my ***.

Throttle response is so much better. The car feels like it just drank a large coffee and it's ready to go. In normal driving I find I'm shifting sooner because I get the response i need lower. Is the engine note slightly different now too? I think it is but my mind might be playing tricks on me.

I love the AP. Can't image how it could get better. I'm really looking forward to my BHR mid-pipe and my first custom tune in a couple weeks.

Odd behavior when data logging

Maybe it was a firmware update, but now when I start the data logging session, I need to press the OK button twice to start the log. Once only goes the selected data field I will be viewing while logging. You can see the words initializing only after pressing the OK button again. Before it only required me to press OK once.
