Hey guys, so if I buy a used AP from someone who has MM maps loaded already, is it even possible to use this on my car without having to pay 295 to MM for a new tune? If our mods were similar, I would imagine it would be plug and play no? Seems to simple which is why I'm asking.

No, you cannot use MM tunes on your car, they are vehicle specific.

You can tune it yourself or pay Jeff to tune it for you.

Ah ok. Someone is selling one in our classifieds advertising how they got the MM tune on it. So technically that serves no value does it? $594 brand new from MM sounds a lot better than $400+$299tune used!

Not to mention that they can't legally pass the tunes on to the new owner, anyway.
That said, they are their own insurance against that happening.

I believe Jeff indexes his customers by name and / or email address; he will not know who you are based on your forum name alone. You may be better off just emailing him directly.

I for one sent mine two days prior and am still waiting. I would leave it to Jeff to announce when his next batch of data has been processed.

Thanks! I would feel much more confident purchasing from you guys direct. Especially since used prices not including your tune comes out to much more. I don't see a point in getting the AP if you're going to just use Cobb tune...

Nah Phil, someone on this forum. When I get one, I won't tell you so one day when I actually make it to one of the SCR meets or your garage gatherings, I can surprise you.. :P:

Seems to be about the timeframe.
I sent mine in Sept 2nd and got my confirmation on Sept 8th.
Waiting patiently. I guess that happens when you buy during the rush.
I was going to put my car away for the winter this past weekend, but I kept the insurance on it in the hopes I'll get to do one tune with a custom map before the snow flys. My subscription will be up before spring.
