Question:
My 2nd & 3rd WOT was accidentally split into 2 files, but it was done in the same sequence, does it matter?

I sent it in anyways, if it is rejected, I'll send a new one in. but Damnnn lol I didn't know 3rd gear topped at 95...
It shouldn't make a difference but it always helps to rename the log files to what they actually are. I don't think it's in the instructions but it's a good practice.

It doesn't matter to me, but lets see if it passes Flashwing!
Generally, if you label your files (especially when they deviate from the instructions) you will be OK.

Only if you are not Brettus. His only goes to 91 or something like that.

yea i always rename them just to be easier for you guys to identify. i renamed them to dezau_4.0.2_2th_WOT & dezau_4.0.2_3rd_WOT correspondingly this time.

another question... I didn't use the gmail that I purchased the unit with though, but the address is in the 11 questions, should I send the submission again with the gmail that I purchased the unit with?

Thanks for the promptly reply Todd & Jeff.

If you use a different e-mail, just indicate in the submission which e-mail you want to use from then on.
However, continue to put the original purchase e-mail address in the 11 Q's.

I did... on my 1st submission, but it never was changed, but it's fine, I'm just wondering if I need to send another one with my purchase e-mail.

Seeing as to how this thread is almost 250 pages long, I haven't read the whole thing... But, I was wondering if you can increase the oil pressure with the access port? I imagine it would be pretty easy to do, at least to get it up to series II standards.

no, you can't. What parameter do you think is PCM controlled that would allow you to adjust oil pressure?

Well, the injection rates are PCM controlled are they not? I think the oil pump is mechanically controlled, so I guess it wouldn't be able to be controlled by the PCM.

If you increase oil injection rates, would that make up for the lack of oil pressure, and have the same effect?

oil injection via the OMP/MOP has nothing to do with oil pressure in the rest of the system. The oil injection you are referring to is injection of oil into the combustion chamber. There are certainly good reasons to modify that, but it doesnt affect the pressure in the rest of the system that is regulated in other ways.. go look for the Mazmart oil pressure modification. You'll see it all then

I know. I figured if you injected more oil, it would overcome at least one shortcoming of the low oil pressure. Granted it wouldn't flow as well through the rest of the engine...

If one used the oil pressure mod, would you want to leave injection rates the same? I want to premix, and increase oil pressure. I probably wouldn't want to increase the OMP along with oil pressure and premix at the same time, since that would potentially be a lot of oil in the combustion chamber.

thats something you'll have to decide on your own. there are so many points of view regarding oil injection/premix that you cant even keep up with them all. i'll tell you the one thing that affects some peoples decisions is this - no matter how much you premix, when the throttle is closed and no fuel is injected, no premix is injected. How important that is, or is the OMP adequate in that scenario is your call, dependant on your driving conditions and opinions

Hey there may be an obvious answer to this question but I just can't seem to find a solid response. Obviously I've found out that Cobb is no longer producing the AccessPort for the 8. So I immediately figured I could no longer purchase one but now I'm reading of people "just ordering" theirs. So is it still possible to buy a new one and if so, where at?

Thanks

Apparently, the Cobb AccessPORT page for the RX-8 is not accomplishing the desired effect.
