If I switch maps to either a higher stage for racing, the anti-theft or the valet map, when I switch back will the stft and ltft be saved or will the ecu have to re-learn?

It will re-learn.
However, if you have followed the instructions and have selected the proper calibration, there will be almost nothing to relearn.

when switching maps, will stage 2 not feel much different than stage 1 at first?

the ecu learns and also gains more power as it learns right?

if the car had the same targets as stock, and the fuel changes were done by an external fuel system, then yes. However you're uploading a new set of instructions, so there is no fighting against it since it's willingly doing our bidding.

whats the maximum amount of uploaded maps that will show up on the AP?

also MM, since you sent me my maps through email, should i simply delete the maps you supplied that were already uploaded on the AP? Seems like they are the same but i just want to make sure.

I rigged a holder for the AP. I bought some 3M "Picture Hanging Strips" the adhesive is not permanent and comes of easily. Check it out

Not too many, actually. I never counted when I hit the limit, but its probably around 20.

According to the manual it's 20.

Ok, for everyone's enjoyment, this is from another thread MM and I were posting in.

Both are second gear pulls, on the same street, about 5 days apart, similar conditions(middle to upper 70's, with moderate humidity).

Chart1 shows my car on a stock flash 2nd gear pull.

Chart3 shows my car on a MM1.3a flash 2nd gear pull. (LTFT 1 / STFT 0 to -1)

When I originally saw my leaner than most condition on the stock pull I immediately ordered a new fuel pump since I thougth that was probably the culprit( I have 100k miles on the original one). I don't have it in yet. I'm going to try to do that next week.

Chart 2 is my car in 3rd gear on MM1.3a

No problems running that lean on 93 octane Shell gas. I did have one problem, but I've found out that it was my exhaust shifting and contacting my diff. housing. Problem fixed.

Is this the customized version for the RX8 or the generic version?

Not sure. I think it's just the normal stuff. I didn't buy anything special for the 8.

It's the OBDscan 3.8

under 5000 rpms while cruising and under light load the AFR should be around or near 14.7 right?

and over 5500 rpms if we are accelerating we should never be seeing 14's right?

I'm not up to speed on the Harrison stuff, but wasn't there something about not logging the fuel correctly with the generic scanner? I had the RX8 version years ago... I would check with Harrison and make sure you are setup correctly to log fuel. I could be wrong, so it is just a thought.

Maybe a Harrison owner can chime in?

Depends on the "Load Calculated". I can cruise at 8000RPM and see 14 mixtures because there is no load. Your word accelerating needs to be defined better.

Correct - WOT would place the engine under it's highest load. (My first gear is under review by Jeff on the 1_3a map.) Other than that, look at my chart. I have two very short spikes - but I also had a misfire. My coils are bad I bet. Installing the Mazsport this weekend.

I have a very high resolution on the AFR scale, so things look exaggerated.
