MM map v1.0 gave me STFT of -1 and LTFT of 0 at idle after 10 min of driving. While driving STFT was b/w -4 and 6. AFR was at 14.4-14.8 while cruising, under WOT AFR was 11.5-12.5. I'll stay on this map for a few more drive seesions since i wasn't really able to get on it. So far so good.

i went driving some more and WOT on second and third gear was giving me AFR's around 14.5-14.9 in the high rpms.

seems like i may need to move to the 1b series of maps.

STFT at idle is still hovering from 0 to -1
During cruising STFT stays within 6 and -6, sometimes going to 8.

LTFT is still 5

According to my results and the instructions, I should be going to the 1b_2a map correct?

If you are on 1_2a right now and it is lean, yes, you go to 1b_2a.

Konig

I was seeing high 14's and mid 15's with WOT using the 1 maps, now with the 1b maps I see 12's and a drop into the 11's by 9k, pulls very smooth. After driving around for most of the day I was seeing a little more positive LTFT so I am now up to 1b_2a.

Konig Brian you guys are seeing the samething I was.

If read my post you would know that 1b is the way to go.

My car runs perfect. It can be tweeked some more but waiting for Dyno Day.

I think I will try 2_1b for more power.

Need to do some data logging but the top end is leaner now. I'll let it settle for a few days..

MM,

So far this is what I have on your MAP v1_0, I did four drive cycles. The last cycle produced idle STFT of -1 and idle LTFT of-2, these numbers were same for drive cycles 2-4. I noticed that after the last drive cycle after coming to idle LTFT was at 6 for about 1 minute then dropped to -2? While driving STFT stayed between -6 and +6. AFR was b/w 13.8 and 14.4 (Lean)

Based on this info I should go to your 1b maps and use 1b_2b right? Since my combined fuel trim from drive cycle 4 is -3 and I'm running lean at WOT (AFR 13.8-14.4) Am I on the right track? Or do I first go to your 1b_0 map before i jump to the others in the 1b series? Thanks

devildog read a few posts behind you. BrianGT, razz, and I were in the same situation as you (running lean at WOT).

im going from v1_0 to v1b_0 first, then see where the trims settle once again.

Sounds good, I saw that you were intending to go to 1b_2a then MM said to start at 1b_0. Thanks.

If you have a lean-running car, I have another series - "1b_0" - has a higher loaded fueling value.
If you are seeing A/Fs above 13.7 at WOT, you will want those.

Do you have a solution for the ultra rich condition on the GReddy turbo map?

My fuel trims are perfect and when I get into boost it chokes on fuel.

Send an e-mail to ap@mazdamaniac with your year/model/mods and current calibration.
I need to know your injector setup, too.

MM,

Quick question. I am on your 1b_0 map. I have done about three drive cycles. I notice that after each drive cycle when I stop and at idle the STFT and LTFT fluctuate. For example on this last drive cycle, right after I stopped the STFT was at -1 and ltft was at 2. After about 1 minute of idling the STFT went to -1 and LTFT to -2? Should I give the car a minute or two to stabilize before I read the STFT and LTFT?

when the numbers are that close, just leave it alone and keep driving the car. The car will look at the trims and average out what it needs in the long term trims. So use the ltft as the bigger indicator of what to do.
