Cobb AccessPORT Discussion

the CAI really helped me. But the car was drivable with the greddy intake. I'd say get the AP, see if your car reacts well or not then decide if replacing the intake setup is worthwhile.

I like the Hymee unit, but if they fix the AP like they promised. Then it will be a data logger.
But here's the catch. It appears they have slow memory as the results lag by a second.

The Hymee unit is $279 vs. the $150 for the EFDude unit. I just want something inexpensive I can use untill the AP upgrade is ready. I guess I'll go check out the EFIDude thread and see if anyone has used it before.

Delay in output matters only when using the ap screen as a gauge. And from my tests with the ap vs wideband gauge, its fast enough. Definatly not 1 sec delay.

For everyone's enjoyment, I put together a short video showing the accessport in action during a short tuning session with MazdaManiac. The video runs about 3 to 4 minutes.

I'm going to the track tomorrow, can I track the car on the stage one MM map. AFR at WOT is 11.0. I'll be mostly above 5.5K RPM tomorrow. Not sure if I should go back to stock for the track?

Sure
I would, but thats me.
There is an event tomorrow and I think I may go.
If you are confident in the flash you have then........................
Of course you can always go back to the stock one and then track it.
You make the choice.

195 was the WHP readout after the flash and the small amount of tinkering to deal with the injector sizes.
We performed a final baseline run after putting the car back to stock and ran 183 WHP. The 195 dyno sheet would be pretty useless because it's without any real tuning. I just wanted to show people the AP in action...and show how crazy the Maniac really is.
