haha yeah i noticed that after i posted

so i guess i kinda exaggerated...but still, jeff is so important he counts as more than one person!

i think it was the atheist comment that got him banned. We can't have no damn devil worshippers on this board, next thing you know it'll be over run with homosexuals and muslims.

the only tuner we need on this board is that RotaryResurrection fellow, he seems real smart and that name just rings easter jesus to my ears!

Jeff: Mine should be here tomorrow ^_^ so excited ^_^ I hope I won't have to bug you for custom maps, anywhere from +/- 12% for STFT and LTFT should be okay right?

Thanks for unlocking the thread........

On topic ..... I installed my Mazsport Ignition and after over a week my LTFT shifted from -1 to +4, not bad but the kit did lean my car out a bit. Now I've been seeing low 11's on the realtime display and haven't had time to do any logging.

question: how much more power can be had if you tune a car with a midpipe instead of a cat with the AP?

i ask this cause i am in a little dilemma. i currently have the mazsport dual res. midpipe, but i am looking to get more sound out of my 8, so i might be trading alnielson for his corksport catback, but if i can get a good amount of power from the midpipe, i could care less about the sound. what would you suggest?

that's a tough one Cheeto. Easy just dyno'd with his midpipe and only picked up 2 hp. Tough to say..

MORE POWER WITHOUT CAT!!!

Plus why did you get a duel resonated midpipe when it was clearly stated that it toned down the volume of the exhaust??

I want to order mine! but right now im just waiting and then ill go ahead and get mine..

I would like to refrase your question how much of a power difference would there be opposed to having a cat? is it 3-5 hp to go spend on a 469$ midpipe or is it 10-12 Hp for 469 bucks?? or would it yield more power? cuz im also tryin to see if its worth those extra couple hp to go spend another 469 bucks

I was on 1b_1b but running rich (WOT 11.0 AFR) Now that I have the prologger I'll be starting from scratch. I had to uninstall due to some warrenty work.

I'll be interested in what your logger shows. Mine (Canscan) has been showing mid 12's AFR's while my AP has been showing me 11's. That 1 point difference goes to the beginning also. I was looking at 12-13's on the AP with the MM1.3b tune and logged 14's on the Canscan.

I'm still debating on getting another logger to verify but I wanted some more information before I spend the dough.

because i didnt want the crappy raspy sound that you often get with single resonated midpipes.

I've never used a logger before so it will be the first time. I'm going to load the base v1_0 map and see what my STFT's are at after initial install and jump to other maps accordingly. Once they stabalize close to 0 I'll stick to that map for about 5 drive cycles watching my LTFT's and AFR's with the AP at WOT. Since EFIDude is not realtime I need to make sure my AFR's are not to high during WOT. I was running way lean the first time on the base map (WOT AFR 14.3) so I'm sure I will be this time as well. I'll then logg the data for that map and then move to 1b_0 (if I'm lean like last time) and start the process over again.

i have a non resonated midpipe with the rb rev8 exhaust and have little to no rasp at all, just an awesome sound. it isnt even that loud really, suprised at how quiet it was. this was after going from stock cat to high flow cat and then to midpipe, so i heard my car get louder and louder.

well then it could be the rev8 exhaust keeping it from being a loud raspy sound.

yeah im willing to bet it is, since with the stock cat the rev8 is one of the quietest aftermarket exhausts out there
