hmm so you guys arn't relying on the access port for A/F info? Does the AP display accurate info at all? I don't have a proper datalogger =/ but you guys are saying efidude datalogs?

The AP A/F #'s are good but there is a small delay, you can rely on this with no problem. The more data you give MM the better maps he can make for you. You can only see one parameter at a time with the AP. It's good to know what's going on with the other #'s at the same time such as engine load, AFR, timing etc... The EFIDude is decent for a basic logger, you just plug it in drive then download the info your PC. Check out post #2046 in this thread.

The "AP" is your car's pcm. So you should hope that you can trust it

Just ordered my EFIDude an hour ago, that thing is a pretty damn good deal.

I used to hate the RX-8's cpu because it was so in depth that it took forever for things like the Cobb to come out and I hated it for that. Now that I see how our computer has so much info that you can access and change, I love the little bastard. My friend a Mustang lover and import hater was trying to sell me his wide band and when I told him I don't need one the car has one built in, he didn't believe me and was shocked, I loved that too.

Its amazing what you can do with our cpu and a $700 Cobb AP.

Devil and 05 you guys are ok. This is plug n play for the street.

Going rich at that high RPM is making you safe.

Lean will bow your motor.
Jedi and me show the same richness at high RPM this is what you want.

You are not racers. You are not willing to buy a new motor.

Of course Devil may want a special flash for the track to get a little more HP, but at risk.

some cars like running richer than others

and and a midpipe definately gives you a gain as can be seen from the dyno day!

Thats probably the problem when the leads were yanked out they dislodged from the crimps.

When you put them back did you put them in in the correct order?

On Dyno day...........

Two of our cars go an increase over 15hp from the first dyno run using the AP.

Unfortunately with a crappy Mustang dyno we have nothing to compare the gains from before and AP install and after.

that is actually my exhaust manifold, i didnt yank out the leads, the place who helped me install the turbo kit did. they put on another O2sensor on which is not even working, and i think they kept the plug for it!

it will give you more gains, but just as a precaution, without the AP, a midpipe + premix may foul the plugs. it happened to me. if you see white and blue smoke come out of the tail pipes along with a CEL, check your plugs first.

Once it's dialed in perfect I should be fine for both street and track. How much more power can be gained by going really aggressive anyway? I don't think an extra 10HP on the track will make a world of difference. Now if the track map will give an extra 20HP over street map then that's a different story.

Heard the Dyno went good with a few reservations regarding the Dyno itself. A few of us here in the MW are planning on getting a Dyno tune day together as well. Hopefully MM will be willing to come down here.

not yet, but now i have a question.
does the O2 sensor which show in the picture looks like that factory one (length wise)?
cause the one which connected to my downpipe now is way longer than that, im now starting to think the shop who helped me installed the turbo kit just installed some random O2 sensor for me.

thanks

I decided to take a video of the Mazsport GReddy CAI with the AccessPort. This is with a few days worth of drive cycles on the "MM 2005 MT TURBO v1_4a" map.

one way you can tell is how many wires are in the cable. i see 3, but you want to have 4. i am thinking that they might have installed a random one also. most O2 sensors look alike though.

yeah, easiest way to reach it is to take off the oil filter or the UIM.

How do you multi quote? I've been trying to do it but it never works for me. I know you hit the multi quote button on each quote then what? I've been going to post reply but the quotes don't show up

A good tune will probably gain 10-15 and an extra agressive tune will probably give you another 5-7 on an N/A car, so your probably right its not worth it.
