Get in line. lol

I don't even wanna know how many people are trying to get maps from Jeff.

It must be really hard to have that many people wanting something from you.

We need Cobb to release the tuner software so that we can start to tune our own cars.

^not so sure about that. jeff keeps the maps he makes within moderation. if people start making their own maps, they could adjust the wrong thing, and it could be potentially catastrophic. especially for those of you who are FI'ed

But isn't it a good thing that people want stuff from you

Absolutely.

I don't have a clue how the software works but it can't be hard to make a tune richer.

Other than my lean condition in boost I am perfectly happy!

Keep in mind: The BEST and pretty much ONLY way to get any maps from Jeff at this point is through EMAIL. Don't bother PM'ing him, it won't get you anything.

Email him with your real name, forum name, what your numbers look like, and he'll send maps.

well that isnt too bad, but as mysql has said, you want around 11's for your AFR for FI

data logger?

the way jeff has the ap tuned for FI, it gets richer at torque peak. Before and after that rpm range it's leaner. But the AFR also seems to reflect a difference between high load and lower load when in boost.

The only data logger I have is my video cam. lol

My LTFT is -7 and I am running "MM 2005 MT TURBO v1_4a" map. Mysql said fuel trims dont matter as long as I am bellow 12

Jeff is telling me it's the wrong calibration for a negative fuel trim.

I am adding 8% (the x_4a adds and the x_4b subtracts the same amount) and
the PCM is taking away 7% via LTFT, so I should probably be on v1_0.

Yep sent two, it also has previous emails we had back and forth. One was the initial WOT reaction, then the 2nd one was on updates playing with maps and so forth and giving him more accurate #s (at least so I hope). I'm going on a long road trip soon...so having the AP with a better tuned map installed would be nice for gas savings =)

If I don't get it running correctly by explaining my issues then I will definitely order it.

Why did this thread get so quiet?

I assume it's because this thread is useless without Jeff and that any issues we have we send to him by email?

I think he created a monster - I have not heard back on an e-mail I sent him with my datalog a long time ago. I guess I just need to pay for his trip up here.

Jeff's avatar no longer says Banned under it

I got my EFIDude today and did a quick run from 3 mph to 45 mph and my AFR was good up to 6000 rpms then it was way too rich. It was 14.5-16 up to 4000 then went to 13.5's, then right at 6000 it went to a range of 11.1-11.7, mostly the lower 11's like 11.1-11.3 all the way to 8450.

With a good tune how much more power (a guestimate) do you think can be obtained in that 6000-8500 area?

when jeff was tuning my car at the dyno, it was making more power running rich than it was when he changed the map to run leaner. so it depends on the car.

That is rich, we would like to see mid 12's in the upper rev range with high load. Check to see what you load looked like, but like Konig said your car may run better when rich. Let's see what MM says.
