Precisely.
I keep a couple of extra PCMs around, but I'm well over 500 flashes on this one with no issues.

I sure hope not.
That is a LOT of e-mail from me!

Can you imagine?

If HALF of my customer base required only half as many flashes each to get it right, I'd have to email out over 5000 calibrations!

Yes!

And if it took 250 adjustments, fuel cost for tuning might actually need it's own spot on the budget.

Ok, cool beans. Jeff, how many stages come after 4.0.2?

That depends. If your v4.0.2 is f-ed up, it might be two or three more.

Normally, there is only one more.
v4.0.3 is the "tuned" version once the MAF/injectors thing is worked out.

Did we go through the whole thing correctly, or did I still cook you by mixing and matching logs against the wrong calibration?
You are the guy that wanted to update even though you were already properly tuned on the v3 set, right?

Yea I'm that guy. I've been wondering if it wouldn't have been easier for you just to slightly edit the v3 one? You had said 0.5 leaner would make it perfect.

I'm not sure if the 4.0.2 is "bad" or not, as the cruise and WOT trims are positive a few. The idle ltft on my log is +20 though.

I originally sent proper logs for 4.0.0, then decided against going through the work to redo it. Then after discussing my v3 tune on the forum you said to send you logs from it so I sent you idle and cruise logs from my v3 tune. Originally you sent me a 4.0.1 based on those, but then after I PMed you about it said to disregard the 4.0.1 tune you sent me and that I didn't need to do anything on my end. Then I got the 4.0.2 when a few others did.

I've been in a constant fog since the 25th, so no worries.

That is getting ridiculous.
I'll just send you another set via UPS and you can send me back the first one once it finally gets there.

out in the garage right now, about to do a DataLog but ran into a problem.
The car was idling as I was setting the Data Log List when the AP told me it could not connect to ECU (car was on) and the Tach started fluctuating between 500 - 2500 rpm. (though the car's idle was unchanged)

turned the car off, unplugged the AP and plugged it back in. The tach is steady but Traction Controll Off light is still on.

Now have the following Codes:
PCM U0073
IC: U1900
EPS: U1900, U0073
RKE: U1900

Dont want to reset the codes as it'll reset the ECU and I'll lose the fuel trims. hmmm...
Gonna go google search those and see what I come up with.

I had the same traction control light come on after I upgraded the flash on the AP. Turned off the car and turned it back on and light has not come back on since. I did not get any cel codes with the dsc light.. so not sure what's going on with that Jedi.

Here's what I got for ya, Jedi:

U0073 CAN system communication error • PCM
U1900 CAN system communication error • DSC HU/CM

Sounds like you got a BSOD.

now to see if my AP is logging properly. First attempt had it logging stuff that I hadn't asked it for.

Windows Blue Screen Of Death

From 4,500 miles away in an armchair it sounds like your PCM rebooted or crashed or something odd along those lines.

I wonder if your dongle caused a short...

data logs came out well, gonna send them to jeff along with the 11 deadly questions and then off to reset those codes.

My car also had the DSC code come up just a few hours ago on the highway. That and my ABS light came on. I couldn't engage/disengage my DSC nor my cruise control. I pulled over on the highway and cycled the car, all the codes cleared and lights cleared.

I'm still running the base 4.0.1 maps...and I'm still running uber rich, like high 13's @ idle and in most common driving.
