New dry type K&N?

Maybe you should re-check the "do not oil - run these dry" instructions.......
I think even K&N themselves might have a problem with that.

Quote - "WHAT VOIDS THE WARRANTY:
Incorrect Service: The Filtercharger® element must be cleaned and serviced with K&N cleaner and air filter oil per the prescribed routine maintenance procedure as outlined in the product literature that accompanies the Filtercharger®."

Sorry but this is the only way that MAZDA will not void your MAF sensor warrenty.

IF they find a Oiled filter of any kind.. includeing my Favorite the Green Drop in . they will not cover your MAF !

So K&N is now telling my supplyers to install them with a very light oiling and do not reoil.
its not about keeping the K&N warrenty.. its about keeping your MAZDA Warrenty.

However. you are free to oil or not. I have been running K&N dryn in my 4x4 for years. works great. Still cleans up the same and never needs reoil.
