Typhoon intakes come in one of three designs; cold air intakes (CA), short ram intakes (SR), or complete cold air (CCA) intakes which can be configured as either a cold air intake or a short ram intake. They also come in four finishes, polished aluminum (part ends with TP), powder coated blue (part ends in TB), powder coated red (part ends in TR), and powder coated silver (ends in TS). Do not Oil these. Run them dry.
I have the Polished instock the others take about a week to get.

K&N says no.. but i know i have seen other just shields for sale .. i will look more

Maybe you should re-check the "do not oil - run these dry" instructions.......
I think even K&N themselves might have a problem with that.

Sorry but this is the only way that MAZDA will not void your MAF sensor warrenty.
IF they find a Oiled filter of any kind.. includeing my Favorite the Green Drop in . they will not cover your MAF !
So K&N is now telling my supplyers to install them with a very light oiling and do not reoil.
its not about keeping the K&N warrenty.. its about keeping your MAZDA Warrenty.
However. you are free to oil or not. I have been running K&N dryn in my 4x4 for years. works great. Still cleans up the same and never needs reoil.
