If you look on the side of the COIL it has the Factory Part number stamped on them
N3H1-18-100B
The "B" Coil was installed on ALL RX-8's FROM 1st DECEMBER, 2007 Production date.
So if you want to know which COIL you have on your car, look at the Production Date Plate on your Bulk Head, or, if you can take a coil off it will have the part number stamped into the side black plastic.
The B is still the latest COIL even for 2010 MY RX-8's.

I just ordered some!!! im about to give my 8 her first tune up, and its long overdue. i thought it had one as i bought it used at 50k, but i called the dealer and it never has. so now at 65k, i'll do it and get to see how well this car can really run.
