Not sure if this is all you need to get it to save after adjusting. Maybe Scott will be able to clarify.

I haven't changed the timing or anything, still waiting to get the AFR device you are developing.
Now remember I told you about the gap or delay when the turbo kicks in? We noticed it kicks in in 4.5K, and it is really strong. We felt the car is dead, I mean completely dead, before 4.5K and suddenly it is a rocketship. We started playing with the mapping thinking it was too rich. Went -15 clicks in the non boost WOT fuel map and nothing happened, we think it got worse. Therefore we tried giving it more fuel at the low ranges (1K to 4K). The end result we felt a difference, the car was a little better so we kept giving it more fuel (up to 65%) more from 1K to 4K and the car reacts way way better.
Now when I unplugged the cable from the interceptor (thinking it was enough for now) the car seems to have lost the map we did. Is there any upload map button? or you make the changes and it is saved automattically so you can disconnect the cable right away? We didn't find any "upload map" button like the emanage, so we thought it would store it as we finished.
Will call you tomorrow so we can talk about this.
Thanks

You guys really need to get your Interceptors tuned. Myne drives, great. Absolutely no complaints. That's something I haven't been able to say since I put the Greddy kit on. Power is always there, extremely smooth delivery, and a definite power increase over the emanage. It feels like it came this way now.

I have to completely agree with rkostolni. My car was the one in the "Interceptor-X Review w/dyno pics" thread started by my main man, Ray@PFS. Though the installation could easily be done in my garage at home, I don't have a dyno - and IMHO, that's the only way to properly tune a car. You can see by the dyno pics how smooth the hp and torque is throughout.
However, not one to be satisified by the dyno runs alone, Ray drove my car to his home for the night.... and yes, he did ask me first!!! This will allow him to experience the set-up in the "real-world" - on the roads, at stoplights, in traffic, sitting parked overnight, and a cold start in the morning.
How's that for customer service from a tuner? Now you know why I go to PF Supercars. and also why I highly recommend dyno tuning for those with the Interceptor-X.
dd sends....

Fantastic!

I'd say it was a total of 3hrs over 2days.
Using the datalogger was pretty easy.
Just a matter of watching the AFR's at WOT (and at what boost load), then adjust the fuel map accordingly. Up the boost 2psi at a time and retune. Didn't really have to adjust it much. Lowered the timing 2 deg across the board since it would occasionally detonate when flooring it.
Scott's tune was fairly conservative, plus I get 93octane here in TX. My dynotune AFR's show up at 12.0 but they used a tailpipe sensor which isn't super accurate. My gauge showed 11.4-11.8AFR's

Scott's 290hp video was at 12psi and dyno'd in 5th.

hey, 8's ain't just for straightline racin'...! besides, with the dragstrip closed for the year up here, i can't get you my 1320 times! how about a "highest dyno'd rwhp & torque" competition? that'd be more inclusive until us snow/ice bound northern-types can come out of our winter hibernation!

I went drag racing last night and was able to lower my best time by 1/2 second. 13.1 at 107mph. Upgraded mods were wider wheels with drag radials, turboxs exhaust, and 90lbs less weight (no seats, amp,...).
Thread here.
12's would easily be attainable if it were able to hold 10psi throughout the rpm's.

First Impression - Fricken AWSOME.
Anyone with the Greddy turbo should definitely consider getting the Interceptor - totally different car. I believe the Interceptor is is well worth the money. The car is functioning like it never has and I just want this biatch all night. I installed the Interceptor on Friday night, was a fairly easy install once I found the nipple behind the throttle body. I had to revise the heat shielding between the ECu's because I found out that Acosta Motorsports had left out the 2 cooling trays when installing my turbo.
Some background - I was one of the first RX8's in this area, took car off showroom floor and have over 50k. I have the Greddy turbo installed for over 1 year so I know this car. I was impressed when the turbo was installed as compared to stock, but I never realized the potential power - especially after the R flash when the car ran like ****.
After the Interceptor was installed ;
- no popping which had become a pain in the ***.
- much smoother transition between each gear
- no stumbling after 5k and 80MPH with the Emanage
- have car up to 8PSI - plan to go to 10PSI from 7PSI
Props to Scott who spent about 45 minutes with me Tuesday on the phone talking me through many of the main menus. After some tuning on my own, I am up to about 8 PSI at 11.5 AFR and the car obvioulsy has much more pull through all the gears.
At some point in the future, I plan on bringing the car to KD Rotary to fine tune on the dyno - I want to know my WHP.
