Yet another update:
The dyno issues were resolved and Scott's happy with the results. He may ship a couple units by tomorrow but "positively guarantees" all units will ship by Tuesday.

Well thats good news! I wasnt trying to start anything.. It's just that I appreciate when the vendors come on these boards because to me it shows they genuinely care about their customers.. But thats just my take on it....

I just wish they would have given a more realistic date from the begining and stuck with it. Instead everyweek they tell us "its almost ready, it'll ship out early next week". Then it never does. In fact, I believe when I originally placed my order Scott was emphatic that this will not turn into one of those 3month long waits, here it is getting pretty close to that time frame though. I think it looks bad on there part to keep slipping the schedule, I doubt this is the case but, it really makes them seem like they don't know what they're doing.

he's got a choice:
deal with us bitching about it taking longer than expected to get these
deal with us bitching that we paid $1700 and got a blown motor
Scott's real conservative with customers cars, particularly when he can't be there to see how it runs on a dyno and on the street

I met Scott this last weekend at 7stock. He answered a lot of our questions about the unit itself and also explained the issue with the dyno.
After talking with him, I can understand why there are delays as epitrochoid put it, he's conservative about this whole project and IMHO that's a good thing.
From what we talked about, Scott wants this unit done right or not done at all. When a 30k car is at the mercy of a 1.7k computer, I wouldnt mind waiting for it to be done right.
Be patient and you may find some very surprising things coming from this unit on the horizon.

There are a lot of features that will be revealed shortly! I was able to speak with him as well over the past weekend. Although I wanted my unit months ago, for the additional fuctionality, I'm willing to wait. And yes, I would rather him double and triple check everything is good to go, before releasing it. Even if that means waiting longer. But from the sounds of it, this should be it, and we should have them shortly.

Trust me when I say Scott's not jerking anyone around on purpose...my car has been in his capable hands for quite a while, and the main reason I don't have it back yet is because he doesn't feel he's gotten it set up as well as it should be, so he's not ready to hand it back yet...imho, that's real customer service

I met Scott last weekend at Sevenstock. You guys have no idea, ok maybe scudrunner does, how busy he is. He has orders to fill, cars to work on, and a shop to run. He already works 60 hours a week and there are people who still complain. He actually has talked about not giving any timeframe numbers out in the future and I fully agree. This is not some term paper or presentation due for a large company that had to be met on the exact date specified. His numbers are already guesses, estimate if you will of when he is TRYING to have things done by. It is not a guarantee and not a deadline that will necessarily be hit. He definitely is not trying to jerk anyone around and is probably one of the most honest and straight forward people I have ever met. It is complaints that keep good vendors away from forums and I can name a few who don't show up around here because of negativity. Good things come to those who wait. To those who wait and understand how a full shop works, you will definitely not be disappointed and you know it. Of course we all know what happened with the ecu consistency of the first turbo product that was rushed to market don't we!

Again, regardless of the reasons for delay, do you think customer complaints in this case are unjustified? I understand both viewpoints--Scott's for why the product has been delayed and the customer's who had an expectation set and repeatedly changed. On one hand I understand why Scott has not been able to meet delivery dates but on the other I understand why customers might complain about continued schedule slips. I think both are justified and reasonable.

Go Texas Longhorns!
After meeting Scott and Co. in person, he's about as honest and strait up a person as you could ask for. This product is going to work well the first time out, which everyone will be thankful for. Scott is on the same level in my book as Racing Beat for testing and quality. Just have a little more patinence and you will be rewarded. Remember, Racing Beat had the similar delays with the intake, they wanted to make damn sure they got it right the first time.

I think if you've got a problem with someone or some business you should just quite simply take your business elsewhere and leave it at that. Is that too unreasonable? You can always call on the phone rather than wait for a forum reply. He eodesn't look at the forum very often. He's got an Interceptor right now that was paid for but then the order was just cancelled a couple of days ago. Why don't you ask him if you can have it? There's alot to be said for being proactive and actually trying to find things out yourself rather than waiting for the answers to come to you. If you aren't one of the people that isn't waiting for one, you really don't have a reason to complain.

Na
Like alot of members on here, I am very curious to see what results (if any) he can produce for NA cars...I think there is a decent market for that. Anyone hear anything with regards to this? I am sure more than a few have had the CZ and had mixed results, but I assume this unit will be much easier to work with in conjunction with our cars

Ex- member.
The "Interceptor for N/A cars" thread is here. Not much info yet.
Hopefully, Scott has finished the units and will ship them out soon. I also heard Tuesday was the day.
Davefzr, I didn't see your name on the buyer list. Your pretty anxious considering your not on the list.
Trust me, once people receive and install their units, there will be numerous posts on how it compares to the emanage.

why is everyone so worried about when the units are coming, like anything brand new in the automotive market, it takes time to make sure its right, if you preorder something thats not even availible yet, you should automaticcally plan on doing some waiting, i mean i could understand if the first set of units were already out, but their not. so just wait, calling all the time just takes more time away from getting them shipped.

I definitely appreciate that! But at the same time, the wait is much longer than originally stated, and there are quite a few people that are loosing their patience.
