Interceptor-X Review w/dyno pics ***Updated 293RWHP***
I thought I'd give a little review and give credit where credit is due
We've tuned two Interceptor-X ECU's, and both have worked very well. The product was well packaged with an excellent manual and installation video. Tech support has also been great. Here are some dyno graphs of a RX-8 with a Greddy turbo kit, a stock main cat, with a cat-back exhaust. Top graph is HP&TQ, middle is AFR's, and the bottom is boost pressure.

Now why is it that the eManage can not be tuned like this? I think Greddy should be giving out $1100 refunds for the eManage so we can all have smooth running Turbo's like this, as originally expected....

Nice results. Last weekend I think I found the cause of my low boost. It looks like the factory line at the oil filler neck was leaking. I only checked the turbo piping for leaks before so I overlooked this. But, I won't know for sure if that fixes it though until I get those damn coils. That's about the hp mark I wanted to be at, so hopefully fixing that leak will put my car somewhere near there

Why do you think it can't be?

That torque curve is freaking nuts! Are you kidding me? Over 200 ft/lbs at only 3,500 rpm??? I am just barely getting off the line at 3,000 rpm.. haha... Well done!!!

That's not bad at all! The torque curve is nearly identical as well.

While tuning, what did you have to adjust if any.... the fuel curve or any timing adjustments? I'm still waiting to get a tuning day for my interceptor X.

I never realized how much the gas here in Cali sucks. While tuning, PURNRG and myself had to pull a lot of ignition timing (me more than him for somet reason) due to our gas. The tuner was telling me that our 91 octane, is comparable to 89 gas in every other state. I still think that I was able to pull off some pretty nice numbers once we finally got everything set, and working correctly. All runs were done in 3rd gear, and after letting the car cool off to reduce heatsoak, I was able to get 230whp, and 186ft/lb of torque on a mustang dyno. This was with about 9-10psi peak. I was also able to hold more boost than others that I've heard of, so thats good. My final settings are about 11-12psi. Before going into this, I was more concerned with the drivablity, as I was getting major pinging. Now it drives like stock, only now it has some *****. I'd like to thank the guys at Full Function for helping us out, and keeping me entertained. I'll try to post the sheets tomorrow.

I believe my baseline before pulling all the ignition timing was 218whp, not sure about the torque. My eyes were more focused on the afr, and my ears were trying to hear pinging over the dyno rollers. But we tuned afr for high 10s to be conservative, and my stock boost was 8, holding at 6.5 in the upper rpms.

i got the same results on friday when i went over with scott to the dyno about 260whp and 243 of torque. but when i was driving home every time i it the gas and went on boost i could hear a tapping noise( like when you get a pen and tap it on the desk) it was coming from the boost controller (where is located in the glove) Is this pinging? I dont want to blow the engine! SCOTT where r u i need help.
