Without a doubt everytime he speaks I listen.....I would have to agree with him on with what works.
Why change a good formula?
....Hasn't failed me yet and his guidance along with his massive expertise has taken my car to new heights so everything he says...I obey.
I mean how many engine rebuilds have I had?
ZERO!
and I plan to keep it that way with my car......until I want to do my crazy engine work.
But that is years down the road becasue I truly want to see how far I can take this car on a stock engine.

Betsey and/or Scott -
You didn't comment upon or acknowledge my refutation of #4.
Its critical that people DO NOT put REW trailing plugs in the MSP trailing position.
The REW plugs are 3mm longer than the MSP plugs and will bottom out on the housing before the gasket is against the plug seat.
This can/will distort the housing around the trailing plug hole (causing a bulge) which will, in turn, damage your seals and cause scoring of the housing.

Is there more info about this?
What are the advantages over a normal setup V.S switching to all trailing?
Are the best plugs to use still
RE9BT ?
I tried going on your website to find out more but all the tabs lead me to "Coming Soon"...

I measured the depth, it's a close fit with the BUR9EQP plugs on the trailing side, it's about 1mm gap before bottoming out with no extra shim, spacer or crush washer. If you added (1) more crush washer from an old plug you'll be a little over 2mm away.
Do the tolerances vary that much on the housings or is everyone just focusing on matching the rx-8 plug length?
Edit: oh... and I premix, ha ha

btw, I run BUR9EQP on both leading and trailing positions. I've bought the plugs from several different companies, and it always seems to come with one spacer. None of the 3 sets I've replaced have had any indication of the plugs hitting anything inside the engine. I can snap photos if you'd like to see.

Another thing to keep in mind when you are going forced induction cooling is your best friend.....
Alwasy expect to pay more for what you budget.....if your saving for a kit and you are 2-3k away save like 5k......
Issues always arise and you dont have every supporting mod you think you do or will need.......trust me sometimes the weirdest things will pop up....
Also boost is like Cocaine.....when you have a little......YOU WANT MORE!!!!!!1
Take it slow, slowly turn up the boost see what your car likes best....please dont jump the gun and go a bat out of hell with boost!!!
Because you sure as hell will have to rebuild.....
An interesting thought was that my car ran like **** on 3psi.....7 psi it was friendly and 9 psi it was heaven for the engine......try different things and see what works best for you and your driving habits and see how the car responds
...cocaine is a hellva drug...

dont fiddle with your boost settings until the person who tuned your car told you its safe to set it to boost at that level. Also, make sure you have a capable tuner.

We put shims on the plugs.
I have run the trailing plugs without shims and with shims without any problems. I also have great compression in both housings and have over 60k. Shims are advised, and if you arent sure, it is best to ask a professional.

Not everybody (I'd say most people, actually) would be buying the plugs from Mazsport, necessarily.
They are available locally from every Autozone, NAPA, Checkers or Pep Boys for only a few dollars a piece and no shipping.
They do not come with shims, so an individual purchasing these plugs on the authority of a recommendation from someone on this site would be SOL.

Volunteering as 'clueless'.
Now I have at least one clue.
Hey, these shims, are they reusable? For the day I go to my local parts guy for plugs (like they have them!). Or are they just a thick crushable washer?
MM you could sell these out of the back of your 8 like you do your other chemicals!

The difference here is when you buy products from Mazsport you get built in tech support from people that actually have extensive knowledge of the RX-8.
The other route is often the counter person saying, ugh that was a dodge what?
