There are only about 3 different kinds. All variants of Greddy's kit. I've seen videos of mysql101's setup. All I gotta say is, NICE! I've already started a piggy bank.

sorry i ment to say i wonder what would have to be changed/adapted to use his kits on an A/T

i know there is the tuning part but i dont know if there is any more mechanical differences other than the 4 vs 6 ports.

The real question is: "Who makes a turbo kit for an automatic RX-8?"

The real question is: Can the automatic transmission handle 400 hp?

The difference between Scott's Kit for AT is mostly in the ECU he uses. The interceptorX is capable of handling both the MT and the AT. The current Greddy system comes with the Emanage that is only pretuned for MT. The interceptorX can be manually tuned, not just a slap on there and go system. Also, I think he puts different injectors on the car (dont remember if thats an option or part of kit).

rotary engines are well suited for turbochargers. Just look at how much air they push through the exhaust. While the install is more involved than a SC, the system is less complex.

Superchargers are good if you want to make less power on the car and no ability to change your level of power at the push of a button, while making the system more complex.

The advantage of a SC is power down low, but most of us are getting FULL boost at 2500 rpm, so I do not see any advantage.

I think the AT is a great candidate for a turbo.
You ready to try, Erick?

I was born ready !!! I was going to ask you about an ECU (piggy back) that would work on the AT. Just to maybe get the little lag I have been getting around 6000rpm's out and a bit more smooth in the power curve.
