In fact I think Dameware has a push ability (remote install of connectivity client) built in if you have the connectivity credentials of the computer you are trying to connect to.

Once connected both users will have access to the mouse/keyboard/etc. Make sure the connection type is NOT dial up or else this will not be a viable solution. I've used this program in my travels as a support analyst for various types of software and highly recommend it...Being free and all!

You may also consider doing a live webcam session while connected to the machines in case a visual of the car is required.

Chris
Thanks Chris, I was actually referring to the way to engine output info gets back to Mazsport not the pipe per se but the process. These types of remote management have come a long way... anyone remember good old VNC?

This is true but if the connection were to be setup between the machines they would be able to see anything you are doing on the machine (I am sure you know that).

In other words...Lets say you purchase an Int-X and want to do a virtual tune with Scott. You setup your laptop to accept connections and Scott remotes into your machine where the Int-X software is already running. He will then be able to manually tune your car from a remote location.

There is no need to transfer any info back if they are tuning in a Live session but then again I know nothing in regards of tuning so I may be mistaken in this respect.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Long story short, you are right and wrong! HA HA. The speed of refresh and loss of connectivity would require a remote tuner to have access to the data in addition to a live screen. At least I would.

I see...well if I am not mistaken the Int-X software can export the data to file correct? If so he can probably either copy the file and paste it on his desktop ro you can simply e-mail him the data.

I still do not see a problem. Forgive me I am not trying to be a pain...Just trying to help!

No forgiveness required, you are 100% correct, that is exactly my point, you have to get him the log info because in real time that 20 millisecond change is too fast for the net. Now with that in mind check out my automatic tuning thread.

Feel free to read the first post and last page only, it is pretty long.

Some VNCs has file transfer (At least UltraVNC does which is the one I use to administer machines here at work.) So if you need to transfer, lets say a wideband o2 log file you can.

OMG!!

Ok I just finished reading that and all I have to say is...

(Borat) HI FIVE-AH!!!

I do not know enough about tuning but based on your idea I have to say the idea is genious! Please let me know if you need any assistence with anything I am a Software Analyst so I deal with code...Specifically SQL as all our data is housed in a MS SQL database.

Thanks for the compliment bro.

Time will tell if the tuning equations work, but I sure hope so, it will save me a fortune when I get home.

Hey mr kane. What do you do exactly as a deep sea diver? It sounds fun. =) I did underwater welding for a bit, but at the end of the day its just too exhausting to do anything else.

I heard turbo 1 kit fits 4 speed automatic

How many WHP can I get?

Seriously the auto was very random due to the weather, if it is a hot day and lack of oxygen it will be slower...

+ the tranny and 4 ports can't handle much I can think of...

Yeah, I wouldn't have that guy do the kit. If a turbo has a water jacket, the oil feed may or may not be sized to adequately cool it. The oil going into the turbo is going to be "hot" as well. The turbine side of the turbo is going to be "F***ing Hot". If something is designed to be used in some way, it's best to use it that way. The guy who put the water jacket on the turbo knew more about cooling the turbo than your mechanic. Put it this way, your coolant going into the turbo might be 220 degrees. The turbine might be like 1000 (wild guess). I think that hot water will still provide some cooling.

Proper terminology is crucial.

Also, what greddy kit do you know of that is giving the RX-8 an additional 200rwhp

I read through most of this thread and I can't hold my tongue any longer.
THIS TURBO SYSTEM DOES NOT, I REPEAT DOES NOT PRODUCE 400RWHP. RWHP stands for REAR WHEEL HORSE POWER. This kit dynos between 300 to 330 RWHP, therefore it's base or fly or crank horsepower output is somewhere from 360 to "400".
Everyone is comparing rwhp to hp. Big difference. The increase from this kit is incredible. Scott at Mazsport is very well respected in Florida and way, way beyond. The quality is great, the power is great and I personally think it is worth the $$$, but everyone please get your numbers right.
The increase at the REAR WHEELS is phenomenal, but the correct numbers are:
Stock hp in the 230's, stock rwhp in the range of 170 to 190 on average.
The Mazsport kit brings the hp to high 300's, maybe 400. But, for the love of God the RWHP is not 400, it is in fact dyno tested and should be semantically, grammatically, and correctly stated as having RWHP of approximately 300-330 (depending on other mods, base/stock rwhp, and psi).
Ahhh thank you. I feel like I just gave birth.

this is what happens when when you don't finish middle school. if you are going to challenge something you need actual facts to back up your statement (charts, studies, etc). No actual data credibility. Don't knock on someones **** if you do not have proof. btw find a hole and fall in it douche

Kevin, you are killing me. I am following your posts across the rx8 web! LOL.

We are always evolving and improving products as we go. The 300-336 RWHP was at 6-7psi. There is a lot more power to be found in these turbo kits.

Ah well, I suppose the fact is that we need to do some more dynos and put some higher numbers out there.

When we dyno tune, we start low and increase slowly. In slavearm's case, we were at a California shop using their dyno and he had a lot of issues with his install that we were unable to work on. So, we stopped at 336RWHP per Shane's request.

Now, Slavearm's 8 is in our shop and his turbo kit is being checked over to tighten things up and add some extras. We will be dynoing his car again soon I am sure.
