Turbo Kit Type 3

1) A limitation of the exaust flow...
2) Heat built up near the exaust ports so the apex seals scraped up the housing causing catastrophic failure...
3) The ECU flipped out and kept popping the car into limp mode...
Taking bets now...

Power!!
It sounds like there were car troubles with something else and he doesn't want the message to get twisted. I can respect that. Hope you guys get the car up and running soon!

Thanks for the laughs guys, feeling much better today. Not 100% positive what was going on last night but rest assured it was not engine or turbo system failure. The AFR's were excellent 11.7-12.0 and very consistant we were just down on power. Ironically Dan we were trying a new ignition box(much cheaper) but uninstalled it, no significant change. It got late and the dyno was not the ideal place to do the diagnosis work required. I have seen similar things happen before and frankly I was trying a few new things and got caught out by somthing. Spoke with the owner today and it looks like I will have the car next week. Thanks for your support guys, Scott

Scott,
How is the plastic intake manifold holding up? Is it bending or warping at all?
Maybe the exhaust is way too restrictive for these power levels!
Dont know just venting some thoughts and adding some more support.

Are the coils/ignition system the only thing holding you guys back from the 400 HP mark, or whatever number you guys are shooting for?

This kit has been for sale for a long time now.
www.mazsport.net
I'd bet the turbo will run out of steam around 20-25psi, seeing as so many people have compared it to a GT35R.
I wouldn't buy a turbo kit without having a boost controller, mang.

Well if the guys wont answer emails etc if you send money will they answer??I just need a total invoice with shipping and some last info...I know all the job you have guys but i must know the total so i can have the money ready soon...
Although 1.3-17bar boost pressure is too much in my opinion...I dont believe it would be too much cause the renesis wont handle it..The greddy works in 0.4bar from the factory...

The rule of thumb on pump (91-93) gas is 15psi. On a Renesis, with ignition upgrades, and its fairly high compression, I would say 13psi or so would be easy to run on pump gas, with proper tuning, of course. Much higher, and race gas would be necessary. What I listed is just in my opinion what the TURBO is capable of being run at, reliably.
CALL THEM.

I don't know who you have been emailing, but it doesn't seem like you have really been trying either. If you haven't been to the website or tried sales@mazsport.net or phoned them. They are very responsive.

Hey GrRx8MaZdA,
I'm not trying to be an ***, but you are turning this into a "how to interact with customer service" messaging thread. Just use a calling card, they cost $10. Again I am not trying to start a posting war with you, but I would rather read about the system itself and not if they care about a pm or two. Please let them do their thing so they can start crankin' out mad HP.
Had to finally say it,
Tails
