Still waiting for an update, No one has said what happened the 28th of March, No one has said if the dyno was done after that , no one has giving any explaination, other than - Its running super duper now.... Come on, give us some answers will you...I'am not trying to be a jerk but there is always one reason or another why we don't see any Dynos on this turbo.... I still think your doing your best to try to provide a very good turbo system for us, but don't string us along....Tell us what power it makes Now and or what needs to be done to resolve the problem you may have in trying to reach the 400whp numbers. thanks

much respect for the guys for putting out a turbo system that is well engineered. But even I have to kinda chime in and agree that after all the months this thing has been out, dynos straight from the source have yet to surface, yeah its only a piece of paper with some lines on it but for the amount of money involved here I dont think its too much to ask.

Entered in hot import nights? good for the owner I guess. But if all is running super smooth now if there is time to be entered into a car show, is there not time for 1 hours worth of dyno? I realize we are just a bunch of random *** people on the internet and i also realize our opinions/bitchings/rants do not mean a damn thing but to have a dyno, have it pushed back and back, something happens and then no word for 1/2 a month.

I had my heart set on this kit - I even got all the money together but I'm just not feeling it anymore. I have no doubt that the car is badass and a HOOT to drive but people that saved up a wad for this aren't going to hold on forever and ever (just one of those reality things)

Very good point, I would like to see a updated dyno sheet as well. Possibly some of the problems they are having come back to the renesis itself and not the turbo pushing air into it. 10:1 compression+ rotary + boost = not ideal.

LMAO......here we go again.

Anyway problem was a coil pack was not properly grounded. Explanation for problem is that it was intermitenly turning on and off and the leading spark plug was not firing properly.

As an explantion as to why we did not dyno the car is becasue we took two steps back to trouble shoot the car. Now we are at the point of only connecting the jacob's ignition back up and then going to the DYNO. Now if you want to pay for my next dyno session and clear ALL THE CARS AND PROJECTS that Scott has to work on, we will drop everything just for you.

Now being done being a smartass Scott and myself will be discussing when a time for BOTH of us is best to FINISH the car. We will not be disclosing the date of the DYNO you will just see a post of the dyno run. You guys put too much pressure, you complain WAAAAAAAYYYYY too much, so with that being said patience is very much appreciated right now.

Thanks

BluMonstr

Please no dumb statements about how long you have waited.....drop the cash and then you can rant and bitch all you want otherwise silence is golden right now.

hey i have seen both of these cars... insane..... it seems that not many people understand what really goes into building a quality kit and the tweeks and trouble shooting is necc for a fantastic product... but i suspect they will know soon enough...

Hey bro i am completely positive with what you said in your previous post..That happens all the time..People asking the most stupid questions they can find claiming they ll buy the kit but in the end they catch up an error and dont give a $...And most of them have stock cars...You should see the most greek owners..You would laugh till death..They prefer imitations as crappy as they can be just because they could be 10$ cheaper from the real thing...Sad...

Although i cant wait to clear up with my credit the kit..I believe the installation isnt that hard right???I m going to buy everything and all the additional parts and ceramic coating offcourse...

If we can get some last infos not to make my decision but just for knowing...How many days is the installation??Should we use aftermarket coils or the stock ones??What heat range spark plugs???

LMAO.... I guess here we go again.... I think some of you guys have a stick up your ***, must hurt.... My point is Don't say to everyone your going to do something and then don't. Don't advertise a product can do something, but can't prove...... Don't be so damn mad and defensive everytime someone wants information on what's going on... Just don't say anything until you can prove it, Then post it all you want, Then see who's full of **** when it comes down to buying the product.... Just don't string everyone along.. And as far as waiting goes, I've had a Greddy Turbo as soon as it came out 2004, Don't laugh but I got it to put out 284whp, Hey that's not that Bad... But I'am not going to buy a turbo again unless I see some dyno numbers this time......

BlueMonster and all you Mazsport people, I got your back. After all its not easy or quick trying to perfect everything you do to make a quality product.

Hey Greddyturdo1, go rant somewhere else until they are done.

All of this reminds me of something that happened when I was in the service and overseas.....

psst....over here kid....I have these genuine gold Rolex watches...only $500...youn can't beat that deal for an authentic Rolex...no, now don't ask any questions just trust me and give me your money...

I didn't fall for that then and I would laugh my *** off at anyone who spends, how much for this kit, $8000, without asking some questions. It may very well be the perfect kit for this car, but to spend that money, I'd want any questions I have answered. I'll be the first to admit that I wont be in the market for an FI solution until my warranty is history sometime next May, but you can be damned sure when I do go that way it will be with a company or person who was willing to answer my questions. It's a free country and myself and my mates spent some time defending your right to say whatever you want, but if you really don't like questions, stop making posts that raise them.

I like seeing these threads. It helps a new owner learn about their rx8 by reading what the reality of a turbo car is about.

Brice has stock coil packs.

Those of you that understand the Greddy Experience first hand should understand what Mazsport is about. We want the RX8 to be better without compromising quality. If it takes time, so be it. If we share the progress as we go, so be it. If you dont want to know anything until Dyno Charts are posted....stop reading.

This is who we are. We are a Rotary Performance Business with a full shop of cars that we are working on. We will get the dyno charts as some point in the future.

GrRX8, it is my understanding that the Interceptor-X does not need flashes. From what I understand, it can be tuned, much like the Power-FC for the 3rd gen RX7's. It's just like a piggy-back -- except that it can control timing, too.

Correct me if I'm wrong?

yeah, if the int-x works, it works. rx8 pcm reflashes don't effect it. You can disconnect your car batt and there's nothing to "relearn" as it would normally.

if they make upgrades to the unit, such as fixing the CEL (or from past issues like cruise control) I think you just ship it in to them for the update.

if these people can tune power fc's and Emanages they should have no problem understanding how the interceptor works. the tuning is extremely easy and a noob tuner could produce a decent tune with the Int-x. i wouldnt worry about tuning.

have you thought of a cat delete. the turbo really quiets the car down alot.

Im sure that once u get the manual from betsy w/ the kit you can bring the car to any decent tuner and they will have no problem doing the install/tuning.

The biggest part of the int-x is making sure that the vaccum line that goes from the int-x to the nipple on the throttle body is not obstructed in any way. because if it is your in for some serious problems.

Thanks for the info...I know that the turbo quiets the car in a nice way..I had greddy turbo before...

Although with a cat i am legal and i also have good performance..As far as i know with a pipe without cat the rx8 doesnt take on performance also it is too dirty and too loud..But if its good for the turbo i ll think about it..But wouldnt i have problems on the boost????

problems on the boost, with a cat yes maybe. My question would be if you will kill a factory cat with the turbo kit because of added heat (not sure there is any tho) the definately wont be too loud but performance wise better exhaust flow is good for turbo motors.

I know the hi-flo cats sport decent returns so a catless midpipe probably is a decent gain for the money. On a non-turbo car, it would produce a lot of noise as rotaries put a lot of sound into the exhaust. On a turbo car, the noise gain would be much less because of the amount of sound deadened in the turbine. As for boost performance, the lesser back pressure on the turbo would help spooling a little. Given that cat's are very temp sensitive, your cat post turbo is probably not going to function at 100% anyway unless you tune for EGTs. Personally, I'd probably stick with a hi-flo cat, as I already own it, to remain street legal, but if it burnt out, i'd probably go with a midpipe.

I've heard of a lot of shops getting Scott on the phone to discuss how to tune the Int-X. If they know rotaries, it's not hard. It's more of a "where do I find this map" type deal. The time zone difference might make tech support a little more tricky for you, but I'm sure if you need some info, they can get it to you.
