Turbo Kit Type 3

Power!!
Yeah sorry friend but turbo and gas mileage don't really belong in the same sentence. more air=more power=more gas. Nothing you can do about it...
So Dan: when are you going to take the plunge? I saw a few threads where you're buying a body kit and some new coilovers. No turbo or SC on the way yet?

timeline for delivery after money in hand??
hey guys just wanted to chime in,been in the rotaries for yrs...just not one for forumns.Very good reading.
I have a greddy kit on presently and going to swap it to my wifes RX8.Currently emailing betsy in regards to the stage 3 kit and it delivery timeline for shipping to canada..Has anyone heard lately the delivery time their at now for the kits to ship once payment is recieved?
Question, greddy had a real hardtime getting the mass air sensor to function in proper perameter under a idle positon with the turbo pulling more air...does the interceptor X control that? i know that when guys installed midpipes(hi flow cat or straight pipe) they had huge issues due to the increased air flow throwing off the sensor/ecu
In regards to the "spark blow" why suddenly does mazda have weak coils? over all the yrs of boosting FC/FD i never ever had to replace a Mazda coil for a aftermarket one..as they were weaker. Did mazda change them is it possible to revert back to a FC FD coil pack or would their be too many issue with the technology in place on the RX8?
Has it been determined what coil upgrade is best for longer term use and higher boost applications?
Are the manifolds the same between all kits? just flip flopped forward or backwards? Going to the higher mounted setup should show a significant torque increase due to the longer runner lengths ?Any FC/FD manifold i made they were around 13" equal length 2" x .083 SS tubing providing almost equal whp to torque numbers...
Just a few questions from someone that has been absent from the forumns for sometime.

Timeline....ask Betsey for a firm commitment ![Wink](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Coils....POS compared to the RX-7 coils, and the 7 coils are easier to upgrade...the 8's coils have strange triggers and dwell characteristics
IntX is MAP based...so MAF airflow isn't a problem, except you need to keep the stock ECU happy so it will still run your throttle and Cruise etc properly
As far as the manifolds go...Don't have a clue...I would expect the low mount runners are shorter.....

when i dealt with garrett they dont give a rats *** about supply quanites or who they short ship.Their attitude is..if you want our stuff you'll wait for it! They decide when they are going discontinue a turbo or its parts production etc.My canadian supplier had to keep soooo much stock on his popular turbos just to ensure he had stock.I keep at least 3 turbos in stock for my kits /or not bring the customers vehicle in until the turbo was in my hand, just so i didnt get caught/screwed without the mainpart of the kit.Especially if youre fabricating everything custom and need to start with the turbo.Intercoolers are the other item to stock if you offer a complete kit, your piping is dependant on the tanks location etc. Plus your costing is set from your normal suppliers..if you have to shop around for someone elses "stock" youre going to pay for it...you cant raise the customer cost because you dont have "stock" people wont be happy....so you get crap either way.
But that all part of business and "custom" items. All takes time, which people do exspect when they shell out a wad of cash.

The more that you bother them the slower they will be because they have to pamper your everloving needs. 5 months is nothing, I having been working on this project since November of last year, not a SINGLE COMPLAINT HERE. Patience is a virtue and understanding is another, and silence makes you golden.
Be easy you will be glad you waited.......
