I will be taking it to a drag strip.....dsc off + MAD CRAZY TURBO = Nasty hook no Traction

yes! because my friend has a '01 S4 chipped, intake, exhaust... and I'm wondering how this would be compaired to it on the 0-60mph time and 1/4 mile. And I have a BUNCH of friends with evo's and sti's so I need to be able to keep up with them. My friends evo is running 0-60 in 3.1 sec! all for $4,195... bastard... I hate how they can do that. So this turbo kit is my only hope. BluMonsterRX8 thanks for keeping us up todate, and for being one of the first ones with this turbo set up.

I doubt you'll ever click off a 3.1sec 0-60 in a non-AWD street car, assuming you aren't running slicks on the street.

the last i heard the dyno day was around the 28th? or somethin?

hah at that point I will not care for at least a week as I will be face deep in Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars :-D

yeah, I know but during mountain runs I am faster in the turns, but if there is a straight then he can pull away! now if I had 400whp

Is this kit a bolt on??
Is this up for selling and how can i purchase one of these but without the interceptor??I could go with autronic which i have.

Please inform me if you know cause i am very seriously interested..I ll go for a new engine swap in january but i cant wait till then with my na tuned rx8

And what is the differences with the other two kits??All say in the site that go for 400whp

I have a show car and i want the turbo to be seen in the motor so top mount and i want an intercooler if this is the best...And off course i want the more whp i can get reliable.So what kit should i get??And i dont want interceptor as i said so new price will be done

You want a visible turbo and a front mount intercooler then type 3 is your kit.

Although for a show car the air to liquid intercooler front and center on the type 2 would be very unique.

Which type although have the best potentilal and power and torque output?And offcourse reliable...I want a kit very fast with all the necessary and without ecu

I believe they are all capable of the same power just different turbo positioning and then the Type II has the air to liquid intercooler rather than the air to ait.

i'm really intrigued and interested in your products. but, here's a newbie question... do u guys [mazsport] have regional, "authorized" shops who will do (a) installations warrantied by "mazsport" and (b) post-purchase maintenance & service? if so, what would the installation price be and what kind of warranty & services are available?

i know this may sound dumb, and yes- we'd all would like more hp in our 8's. but, for some of us there is great concern over purchasing an experimental device like this. unless there is some sort of install & post-purchase maintenance available, i would find it very difficult to be comfortable (1) buying an expensive & experimental gadget like this over the internet that costs $10K+, and (2) then taking it some local shop (that has nothing to do w/ mazsport or mazda) for installation, thereby voiding any remote chances of ever being able to take my rx-8 to a local mazda dealership for service of any kind ever again and then (3) having the engine blow up 2 days, 2 weeks, or 2 years later and then being able to hold no one accountable.

i'm not trying to be difficult, but am looking for a straight, honest explanation. please educate potentially apprehensive buyers, such as me, why it would be safe and a good idea to purchase your turbo and (2) what assurances we have that it will be flawless and won't break later on down the line and (3) how we'd get service & support & maintenance after it's installed.

if no such infrastructure for your product is in place, then perhaps this product is not the right choice for owners with concerns like me, who aren't that tech-savvy when it comes to installing & maintaining our own engines in this fashion.

Then perhaps there is NO product that is the right choice for you. If you are concerned with matters such as those you list, then you should quickly abandon all thoughts of going FI. In fact, you probably shouldn't mod your ride at all. Not trying to be an a$$, but if you expect the kind of warranties, reliability, and red-carpet service for your car when you start modding it, you're going to be sorely disappointed. It doesn't, and shouldn't, exist.

I dunno MadDog. I wouldn't be quick to say that this is no such thing as "great service" in this industry. Quality and reliability is what stands above the rest. Esp. when vendors and suppliers are willing to step up and back their product/work.

Look for a local rotary tuner, search for their history and if they are good, then frequently being in check with them should assure you one of the best routes towards the aforementioned req's. If there is none local that you are comfortable with either one of you make the trips, or your own your own with your homework.

Wasn't trying to imply that you don't get good techincal support. Mazsport is evidence of that. I was trying to quash images of loaner cars and free lattes when the turbo kit needs some repair.

today is the day.....I have dropped Brice off at the out door shopping mall in Clearwater. He will be hanging out there all day until the dyno at around 3-4ish.

Also, Brice is meeting up with the Florida RX8 Club tonight at Bennigans (60/US HWY 19) if anyone local wants to meet up....
