You can search and compare LS2 (D585) commonly called the Yukon coils to LS7 (D514A) the Corvette Z06 coils. My conclusion was that any output above Mazda OEM was fine. The output of the OEM coils is not the problem, it is the limited life of such a critical part. They work when they work. The GM coils are high output (120 milliamps vs 40 milliamps for normal) and some of the rotar heads have offered butt dyno results. At the end of the day the GM last multiple years on dozens of applications. I originally wanted to install the LS7 on my car. A Z06 Corvette is more of a performance vehicle than a Yukon, but I was having a critical failure and had to act fast. So I went with the LS2.
