    To respond to your email:

    I had a rebuilt engine put into it in October 2013 at a Mazda dealership - the extended warranty really helped

    I have put about 6K on it since then without any problem. I would not think there is any need for a compression test since the work was done so recently. If you want to buy the car otherwise, I will pay for the compression test - we can discuss the details. I am in the Dallas area, by the way (moved there recently).*

    Not sure about a project car potential, it depends what you mean by that. It is really in a top shape condition. When I hear a "project car" I am thinking a turbo, tracking, or a rebuilt of some sort. For something like that you are probably better off buying something with "more baggage" you can mess with, for less money. I guess it depends on what you wanna do but my only point it is very good as it is.
