I recently got my CEL on with the P2070 code. My car runs just fine but my gas mileage is suffering huge, about 180 miles per tank! I recently used jong318 video, took out my SSV cleaned it with Gumout cleaner this last weekend, put everything back and started it up with the CEL light back on. My gas mileage is the same if not worse! So I was looking at your and Jons convo threads and sounds like you were in the same boat I am now so I was wondering if you could help me with what you did. I know ultimately you replaced the impact switch on the valve itself but did you try the solenoids first? If so, could you tell me the procedure to check or test those please? And if the solenoids are fine, what else could it be besides the impact switch the valve itself? I know my SSV isn't sticking so it's got to be something related to it. Anything would help. Thank you so much.
