hey man, so yesterday i finally got the remote start working.

my issue is that it only works if you do a certain proceedure, and lets say you were to unlock the door and open it while parked, the next time you perform remote start, it will start the car and 7 seconds later, it will die.

    heres the order
    -put in neutral
    -press brake
    -pull up e-brake
    -open door
    -remove key
    close door and lock.

if you forget something in the car and have to open the door again, it wont work.

i also have the turbo timer set at 1 minute.

The HID's are brighter? Of course, but it's the glare you were worried about right?

nope, its been around a month and a week since i have been back and forth with this installation company. i went to them on jan 3rd but till now they are having problems with my viper brain. apparently the first time it shorted out during the initial test run, and when we got it back last week it wasn't sending the right voltage out so it would try to remote start but not enough power to actually start the car, even though it turns it into the on position. so its back at viper now to get it fixed again.

the Viper is pretty awesome. I'm one of those people who is so used to saying "did i lock the car?" and with the viper, that is no longer a problem, especially with the LCD remote and the 1 mile range. [this tends to be shorter if there are walls and other obstructions.]

also i have added a tilt sensor and motion sensor as a precaution of broken windows or someone trying to jack up the car to steal my wheels.

i am also getting the remote start installed [previous installer neglected to install it due to being a Manual Trans.] so ill let you know in a couple days how it turns out.

and i am having the built in turbo timer activated also [for those days i accidentally turn the car off cold]

also, i would suggest getting the 5902 because of the remote. the 5901 does not have a silent feature, so if your at the movies or class it will sound off if something triggers the alarm. the 5902 has an option where you can have a vibrate feature or silent mode.
