I drafted that first message after reading only one of your posts... now that I have been to your racing page... I am feeling sufficiently humble and kind of feel I might be bothering you with my questions, but seeing your results makes me want to still try .
P.S. I know jack about cars and racing...that being said your car looks fantastic and 1.5Gs! In an
RX-8?? maybe I have no idea what i am talking about but that seems incredible to me. Can not even imagine how that must feel!
    Amazing results Eric!
I have loved my RX-8 since I got her and 100% stock my love only grows with each passing mile.. seeing your results only vindicates my feelings for this great car

    Hi Eric,
I was reading one of your posts about the RX-8 and I am very impressed. I have NEVER tracked any car. I am the original owner of a 2004 6sp w/107k on the stock shocks. I want to replace them at the same time preparing the car for VIR. I had been told to upgrade with Tokico, but my order for D-specs was "refunded" with no explanation. And I am unable to get any response from them. This is my DD so I want to keep it reasonable. I was thinking adjustable... A little stiffer then stock for DD, + stiff for VIR and softer for snow tires. I am reluctant to lower the car much as I do not like scraping So, my question is... since I want to replace the stock shocks can you make a recommendation? Cost is not an issue really (with in reason of course but I would rather pay some more to get better then save a few dollars) I was also thinking of upgrading the brake lines. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated!
    thanks in advance.

Hi Eric, I just got a 2004 RX-8 gt 6 speed. I am planing to use it as a track day car (road racing). I was told that you are the guy to talk to about mods. I have raced lots of different cars over the years, but i have not owned a RX-8 or a rotary motor. I am hoping to speed up the learning curve, and save some heart burn buy doing what i can before taking it to the track. I was hoping you could help get me pointed in the right direction. Thanks, John.
