Have you joined Colorado Mazda Club yet? CMZC.net |
Thats weird - My 8 was having problems too O_o The 2nd gear synchros when out after i put some Royal Purple in my transmission ... My warranty coverd it and im getting my 8 back on Wednesday :)
Keep in mind that if you wana go, registration closes on Thursday at 10 A.M. Heres a link to the reg - http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...9EE730F24B63AB And as for your airbags Greek Racer 8 - I dont think it would matter since some people show up with nothing but a roll cage and 1 seat in their car. But maybe i'm wrong. |
Hello! Just wanted to put in my first post! I just got my 8 a couple of days ago and so far so good! I traded in an 06 Legacy GT for it, which we'll see how well it works out this winter. It does have brand new Blizzaks on it though, so its a start at least! Well, hope to see some of you out and about at some point!
|
Welcome to the club, and you should be fine with blizzaks, the 8's actually one of the better cars ive driven in the snow once i got snow tires on it
|
Welcome to the club man! hey all i just got my 8 back from courtesy mazda in longmont, they just replaced the motor and these guys are awesome! the shipping of the new motor took 2 days and the install was a day and a half. im incredibly satisfied with the work and its a place to check out when your time comes lol
|
Lol, and it will be coming! I just got a nitrous kit from someone in Firestone, will spend the next little while figuring out how to make it work without going boom! Do you guys ever get together in the area, either just to meet up for food and drinks or to work on your cars?
|
hey, i just moved to thornton from miami beach. just wanna see how many rx8 owners are out in the area. i got a yellow '04.
|
Welcome! You're right up in my neck of the woods! Why'd you move to Colorado? Hope you enjoy snow!
|
I'm going to school in Broomfield, but my car took a beating on the drive here.
|
Ouch. Well let me know if there's anything I can do to help! I don't have a garage or anything, but I have tools, hands, and beer! :smoker:
|
thanks, im gonna wait for spring before i start doing any work on it. do you guys have any meets or anything like that out here?
|
Ive never been to any meets around here but i have gone to the SCCA winter solo series. If you are interested in racing you should come this sunday on the 14th
|
Where can I find details?
|
Go to http://scca-cdr.org/
Make sure you sign up soon. The deadline is i think on thursday or friday |
For any of you that still have not signed up head on over to CMZC.net. It is our local Colorado Mazda Forum. I swing on over to RX-8 club a couple times a month but am on CMZC daily. If any of you want to meet up and just cruise, get a thread started over there. We could use more members.
If you have problems posting after registering or getting registered just let me know on here and I'll let a mod know. |
what's up co we should plan a meet before it get to bad out.

Not for sure about the password thing, hopefully GR can get in touch with a mod or something. But that car sounds sick! Can't wait to see it!

Getting in touch with a mod to reset the password. Have you checked your spam folder? Maybe it's in there? I think it comes as Karlsandi from CMZC or something like that.

It looks like your account has been deleted. Not sure if you deleted or not but I think you have to make a new one. Not sure if the mods can restore it. Waiting to hear back from them. |
Thanks I will open a new one.

Hey guys...I'm going to be moving into the Colorado Springs area this spring for a work transfer. I've been house shopping via Pikes Peak Area Realty (http://www.ppar.com) and have had some decent luck. Anyone else have any useful realty sites for me to check out for the area?

Hey..my mom's a realtor and would be happy to show you around. I can give you her contact info if you wish. PM me if you want. |
Thanks for the offer but because my company is taking care of paying everyone they get to pick the realtor as far as I know. If that changes or I misunderstood it I'll shoot you a PM.

Movin' to the Springs
Hey, DBoi,
We moved out to the Springs back in Summer 2009, and we love it. I highly recommend looking into the Rockrimmon area of town, the northwest area of the Springs, just south of the Academy. Great area, and what we would describe as closer to "real Colorado living" -- mountains, hills, trees, rock spires, lots of open space, wildlife... older homes, but solid (ours was built in 1978). Essentially go west on Woodmen Rd from I-25, the interchange is one exit south of Acadmey Blvd. Welcome to the Springs area! Good luck with the house hunt! |
Im currently looking at a couple of places between Academy and Powers North of Downtown. I was told going much further South would be bad.

The swath that runs along the hills and ridge line north-south between Academy & Powers has some good neighborhoods and places. These are generally older neighborhoods, even some horse properties. The older properties tend to have larger lots and the homes are solid & have a little more character. Many, like ours, need some improvements, of course ;) I'm not really a fan of all the huge development that's taken place over the past ten years or so on the other side of Powers -- the east side. Some nice places, but the tract houses are just NOT for us. These are really popular with military (USAF) working at either Peterson AFB (only a couple miles away) or Schriever AFB (about 12 miles east). |
