Well we had an enjoyable breakfast at the Range and while we tried to take a drive on 14 South, the traffic just wasn't going to allow it to be a fun drive. Too many cars and they all drove soooooo slow!! Sadly only four RX8's were able to attend, but we are hoping more can join us next time. The four were....Kewl, Faffy, MadDog and NMHcho. Glad you all could make it....and it was nice to have someone from Los Alamos (faffy) join us for the gathering. Thanks for driving all that way faffy. It was good to meet both yourself and NMOcho.

We got to test drive MadDog's turbo 8 and I think everyone was impressed - very impressed. I do believe MadDog might be helping some people install their own turbo kit...

Faffy found out that his transmission doesn't shift so hard afterall and we found out that the RB exhaust isn't all that loud. I might have to look into one of those myself.

We are hoping to have another get together in Dec or early Jan when NMOcho is back in town...in the mean time everyone have a great Thanksgiving....and drive carefully, but spirited....

BTW my last tank was 22.6....

It was great meeting everyone. MadDog's car drives great... I will have to look into a turbo next spring!

Faffy thanks for coming down. It was too bad all the slow driver's were out today.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

I really had a great time in Albuquerque. Finally I could feel what this car can do. I enjoyed maddog's car very much. I will definitely install some kind of force induction when my warranty expires. About the transmission. I think my car needed to stretch her "legs". I have been driving my car in the city for 1500 miles without going over 60 mph. After this 200-mile trip my gear box was much better this morning even when the car was cold.

I am looking forward to our next meeting.

faffy that is great news on the transmission. A trip to the dealer is never something I look forward to so anytime they can be avoided, well that's just good news all around.

Ace1810, NMOcho told us about your motorcycle - really sorry to hear about that. I hope that works out for the best.

Derektabq welcome. We look forward to you joining us at the next gathering. Tell us a little bit about your 8. We need to see some other colors for our 8's. Titanium and Black is getting boring! Wait....did I just say that? Actually we need other colors for the photos....that's what I meant to say.

Everyone keep an eye on the forum. I think a short gathering in Dec might still be in the cards... maybe NMOcho will give us a hint on when he will be in town and can attend....

Hi All,

Unfortunately, I will be gone December 5, 2005 through January 7, 2006 give or take a few days, business trip to Seattle.

I will only be back for a few days for Christmas and New Year’s. So I will have to catch up with everyone in January. Hopefully we will have a few more 8’s in the group. I will stay in touch. Maybe I can get the wife to take the car out…. unlikely though. On a side note my 2006 Ion Redline best 1/4 run was a 15.74 at 92 mph... Which is even more reason I need a Turbo!!!!! I got to the track to late to run my 8 as the bracket races were only 30 minutes or so away. Would anyone be interested in meeting up at the Albuquerque Race Way for some runs next year? I know the 8 runs better on road courses, but ¼ runs have a lot less tire wear.

-MD,
I purchased my Whitewater Pearl 8 in April. It is a 4 Speed Automatic with standard options. I havent added anything to it except some trim pieces. I look forward to seeing everyone's ride in early Dec or Jan.

Howdy, Stinger. The tires are incredible! They are so, so sticky! The cornering is much crisper and tighter with these.

On a more exciting note, I've been developing a new fuel management method for the turbo. I've put in larger injectors, and I have a new way of controlling the injectors. If you guys keep up with the 'major HP upgrades' forum, you'll see a new thread in a few days. I want to put a few more miles on before telling everyone how to do it. I really think its going to solve the issues that a few people have been having with the emanage. This is how GReddy shoud have done in it in the first place!

stay tuned!!

Hey everyone,
Holidays were great! We need to have another meet and greet . I'm selling my house right now so I might be a little busy over the next few weekends. But we can throw out some dates and see what works for everyone. Maddog you and MazdaManiac's work on the injector tuning was amazing.

Justin
