8th or 9th might be a little early for Chief, Mazdax3 and Moete, but it works for me.

I'd be fine with an after work evening shoot during the week if it works for everyone as long as it isn't tuesday. Maybe the 10th or the 12th?

I just want to make sure as many people can make as possible.

I can make it, just don't count on me if it is during the Buckeyes and Bengals games!

Early morning shoots the the best..in my honest opinion.

I like morning shoots as well. The worst that can happen is that it gets too bright. Evening shoots are tough with a few or more cars because you're fighting sundown and faster changing light.

If the morning of the 9th doesn't work, we can shoot for the morning of the 15th.

Since I will be driving about 2k miles in less than 2 weeks across the country. I would like to protect my paint from truckers, road grime, rock chips and all that crazy jazz that will wreak havoc on my pretty Crystal White paint.

I was thinking about using a lot of the wide blue painters tape to cover my whole front bumper and 1/3 of the lower portion of my hood and side mirrors. Is the tape good and won't leave any sticky residue on the paint or is there a special kind of tape that I can use?

Oh yeah before I forget..

O - H - I - O

GO BUCKEYES!

Bad Car Karma - this must be what I have. So Lucy has been sluggish to start the last few mornings....it has been colder but I suspected dying battery and alas today it barely was able to start and the DSC decided to freak out and turn off so off I went to Auto Zone. $118 later I have a new battery, old one read bad cell and was at 10.2v. Probably was original battery so it was due I suspect BUT...then I had to deal with tricking the DSC to come back on. Check, done. BUT also I have noticed since the pilot bearing was replaced about 2 weeks ago my car smells funny. I thought at first it was just something like grease burning off from the maintenance but it still lingers. It is a high toned acrid type smell, worse when I open the sun roof or turn on the fan. As I was driving today now it has started to grind going into fourth gear...WTF? Think it might be a bent fork or what guys? It had a new clutch and then the new system's pilot bearing had failed so what now could it be now??? I suspect this cars last owner committed suicide in it or something. She may be for sale soon because this is getting just out of hand ridiculous.

Hope everybody had a good time at SLT and mid-Ohio...I think Lucy thought I had planned to go so that is why she picked today to be a Beatch...ha, ha, I fooled her!

I know a few people who have done that and by all accounts it works well. Just be sure to take some pictures so we can give you a hard time about how funky it looks!

My wife went to Mid-Ohio and did not get the promised Patrick Dempsey intro. She is not amused.

Dude don't worry about it bb8. **** like that is stupid and elitist. I get the idea of buying authentic, but it's dumb to just dump on a cheaper solution. If it fits well and looks good who gives a ****.

Did they perchance change tranny oil at the same time? A few drips on the outside of the transmission housing and it stinks to high heaven for a couple of weeks afterwards. I had touble with 4th gear grinding until I went to Redline MT-90, since then, no problems.

Suicide, nah - the guy's wife prolly killed him in it - two birds, one stone kindof thing. >>>

Name brands are over rated. If it looks good and sounds good it is good. Even more importantly, its your car. If YOU like it, who gives a flying fig newton what other people think? It's YOUR flippin car. Enjoy it the way YOU want to.

So when do we want to do this photoshoot?
I agree with you on must of that, but there would be no need to swap in the S54 or the S50B30. The S52 that comes in the US E36 M3 is a very boost friendly motor. With around 10-12lbs of boost it can easily make 400-420whp and more if you add the right bolt ons. I guess it depends on what you want out of the car. For a track rat I would keep it n/a since adding boost also introduces a lot of heat into the equation.

The 1M is a very appealing package. Any interesting car for as much or less is the new mustang 5.0 and especially the boss 302.

BB, don't worry about what someone else says. Like everyone here has said, it's your car. Not everyone lives at home with no other monthly outlays and can justify spending the money for "authentic" parts for bragging rights. The people who do have serious self-worth issues if they have to put someone else down for what parts they buy. I consider that type a poser.

From your pictures elsewhere Kevin I see my wife took the Speed up to Mid-Ohio.

Finally, the 15th sounds good to me for a photo shoot. As long as I can force myself to bring the 8...

Hell, an s52 with the s50 manifold on it is a little screamer. Cams and a tune would finish it off nicely for an NA engine.

If I cant get the new 1M, I will get a 135i and mod it to the way that I want. I heard the new COBB v2 for the 135i is pretty nasty (in a good way)! Also, the JB4 makes the car kick ***!

The aftermarket is huge for the 135i and the power is just amazing!

Yea mine has an M50 manifold and a couple other bolt ons.It gives up a bit of torque down low with the manifold swap. I'm thinking I will be doing headers and a midpipe next year to help gain some of that low end power back.

Very nice. Is it a 996 or 997? I split my time between the M and my MR2 Turbo. I would trade both in a heartbeat for a GT3.

So Lucy went to King's Mazda this morning and look what I traded her in for!!!!

Think I am very happy right now? Can you say needs a new transmission? How can Enterprise for a moment think a person with an 8 wants to drive this POS???? Not Happy. Tears were shed Guess there are only two trans available right now, both located in Canada so after the warranty person gets done looking at it and blessing it for coverage I am going to try to get her back and ditch the soccer-mom-mobile, aka it's a vagina not a clown car, until the parts come in then maybe I will get a hint of fortune and get something other than this monster to drive. I am full of pure shame atm and wish I could hide at home and not be seen in this thing. On a plus note I could get a great deal at the $15 a carload drive-in movie theater, who's in? lol

I had the same problem when I was getting my syncros replaced in my car back in 06. I am 6'4 and they placed me in a NEON! Are you kidding?? I told them no way and they put me in a POS V6 charger. Thing was so gangsta!

It's even white. Can't any more generic than that. LOL!

I wish Mazda was like Porsche or M-B. You get cool loaners with them. Even Acura (when I had one) gave me a new loaded up TL to drive. Of course they tried to sell it to me, but I didn't fall for that.

Last loaner I had from Enterprise was a brand new Ford Fusion. It was white too, but it was loaded up. I guess Scott at Kings figured I wouldn't settle for a minivan. He'd be right. So if you have anything to haul at your house, load up all your crap in it and take it to the dump. Better yet, offer to haul the neighborhood soccer team out for ice cream at Whipty Do and tell them to order 3 dips and sprinkles are on you. That'll make Enterprise happy.
