Nice, but narrow. 7.5". Still $250/wheel. Not bad, but I'd want to stick with 8" rims min.
I found out this week that the company is on the verge of Chap 11. So bloodletting probably will happen the end of the month. Do I feel secure? Not really. I might have to shlep carts at Costco to make a living, which is probably more rewarding overall. Painting the stockers are kind of iffy right now too.

The 7.5 wheel doesn't look any different with the stock tire really, and with a +25mm spacer would look stellar with a drop. This would put the wheel out there by the fender and wouldn't require any work at all to fit. It's all about options and what you have, but if you wanted to use your current tires, going to a 7.5 wouldn't be an issue, especially if it were these rims. Those Work 11R's IMO look super sexy and are one of the best wheels you could ever put on an RX8, and 2lbs lighter than stock. Her is a pic of a RX8 with 18x7.5 w/stock tires. With some spacers and a drop, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Sorry to hear about that Steve. I really hope things work out for you. Not many people get to work in a field that they love to do, and I hope that continues for you.

I'll probably keep the stock wheels for now and put off mods until I figure out what the next few months will bring. Financially I'm in pretty good shape, but not ready to retire by any means.
I took the Miata out of storage today and ran it around Warren Co and almost up to Wilmington on some new roads I haven't been on. It was way different getting back into the 8 after driving the Miata for 40 miles or so. I almost stalled the 8 leaving the self storage place on US 22 since the clutch take-up is so much different on the Miata vs. the 8. Still, the Miata can turn in better than the 8 once the tires warmed up. It just needs about 30-40 more HP.

Chief, you have to remember my wife drives the Miata most of the time. I can't see her driving a 200 BHP Miata any more than I could see her drive my Speed 6 when I had it.
Maybe if I had a boost cut switch on it. What's your Miata putting out these days?

I found another Liquid Silver Metallic S2 just up the street from me. I got behind the guy over on Davis Rd and followed him to his house and talked to him for a few minutes. I haven't seen a silver S2 2010 around these parts ever. He bought it from Kings also.

The M45 JRSC only puts about 150 or so to the rear wheels. It's a nice step up without getting too outrageous. You can still spin up the rear easily if you want to. My wife hasn't complained about it yet. We'll see how she does once I get the MP62 installed and are making around 200 to the wheels.

King's found a pulley tension had come loose on my compressor I guess - she ran perfect and HARD all weekend long for me!
How'd the engine swap for ThatNewGuy gp? I am bummed I missed out on seeing that

ThatNewGuy and I had conflicting schedules due to his work and me being married so I didn't get a chance to get over and help
Moete's springs were easy and I think i've perfected the install. Everything came apart super easy so it took us a tad over 2 hours. If i wouldn't have tried some new ideas on getting the rear apart we would have been well below 2 hours. If it wasn't 38 degrees out, it probably would have gone faster as well.
HiFlite: I'm unable to make it down to DGRR this year. I basically have to choose between get in an HPDE or two, or going to DGRR this year so i'm going to the track. I should be on track to go again next year though.

I'm still trying to figure out the need for it and having losers from high school wanting to get in touch with me. I guess I don't want to "like" people that much.

Steve, you can chose how much info you put in on yourself. Initially when my wife browbeat me into doing it I listed my HS etc. After getting a bunch of friend requests from people I didn't know I removed that. A friend of mine doesn't even have a profile picture. For me it is a good way to stay in touch with what family is doing while I'm away (especially pictures which are a bear for me to try to download).

The flood gates opened once people found me and i got sick of seeing all of everyone's bitching, religious rants, and political views. I deleted my account. Over Christmas I reactivated it at the request of my wife's family. I quickly changed my prefs and deleted about 2/3rds of the people in my list. It's pretty much just family, close friends and a few rx8ers.
At this point, i think you can only find me by searching someone friends list that i'm on, or knowing my facebook address. That said, if any of you want to add me feel free. I know you all well enough.

since I work in university, hiring a lot of students, there's no way they'll leave me without the Facebook account...
and it's also a great tool for me to check who I'm hiring when they come look for job opening...
i don't comment on other's post, and most of my post is just the feed from my blog, but if anyone wants, just go to http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cincin...40767695950344
and find my post of my rx8.
