Staying home. I had to go out last night to pick up my stepdaughter from work (around 2245) and while it wasn't super slick there was a noticeable lack of traction. Disturbing in how people were driving (some super slow, some too fast). If I am feeling slipping in the Speed6, I know Joe Toyota/Honda doesn't have full traction.
Well, the Hamilton Township (lack of) Road Maintenance came by at some point and did one lane of partial plowing and a handful of salt. I took out the CX-7 AWD today. Roads were fine. Parking lots were another story. The 8 is sitting in the garage until the freeze is over.

My car was an icicle. Took almost an hour to get it in a driveable state. And the roads are fairly unplowed and fun as hell here. I don't have to do more than step on the gas a little bit to lose traction.

All-seasons. They aren't stock. Seem to do alright as long as I don't get aggressive :D

Anywho, I may have some parts to throw up here soon if the deal goes through tomorrow since I'm buying a bulk of parts that come with parts I need to fix the 8 and parts I won't ever need lol

Are you buying a scrapped car, or just a bunch of parts?

I'd opt for the exhaust but something about the company you work for going Chap 11 doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the future ability to receive a paycheck.

I do have a big jar of coins probably worth a couple hundred bucks though.

BTW, someone of the XX chromosome species was riding my tail with a Acura MDX tonight on Foster Maineville Rd. My car wasn't totally warmed up yet, so it was limited at 7K redline. She road my tail until I got to the twisties, but she was one aggressive bee-itch. At the bottom of the hill she turned left while I turned right. I imagine she was late to a nail appointment.

Sorry Wendy.

LOL - how did you know it was me in my Acura? It was a massage actually. Maybe if you didn't drive like a Grandpa...
Yeah if I had coins I'd jump on that exhaust as well but something about being a student w/o a decent job...

On a side note I redid some wiring on my trunk, added the OEM trunk mat and then installed an accent LED - didn't turn out too bad...

LED looks good Wendy. Now get that Acura off my ***! LOL

Yeah, I was driving like an old man. Couldn't bust the 7K redline until I got up on Rt22 when the 7K rev limited let me. Also I've been trying to see if I can nurse more than 14.8 MPG out of ride. So it seems drive easy, get 15. Drive it harder, get 14.6. Well, harder it is.

Funny, I had a woman in a big Toyota SUV come up on my *** the other day as I was leaving my subdivision. I just bide my time until I hit the S curve on that road, funny how people always slow way down for that...except me!

Since I'm now still going to be here this weekend, Fuel anyone? That is if the rain stops, otherwise I might have to break out the ark!

Pontoons on the sides should work. I may be up for Fuel if it's above freezing. No sense standing around watching the coffee cool in seconds.

Blew the carbon out yesterday. Captured some sweet rotary sounds via my iPhone.

Anyone have a rudder? Went out tonight and really needed some directional improvement. New tires when it rains might help.

Also, I have a maybe...perhaps strange question.
Do you live in Michaels Farm?
Haha

I was watching a live feed from Turner Motorsports on the Grand Am practice this morning and the Continental series race at Daytona this afternoon. It was pretty lame since it was just the pit action. They had a live chat set up. Everyone was fawning over the BMWs and how great they are, etc. Just enough to make you puke. There was a photographer shooting from their pits using a 500mm lens. I decided to chime in and asked:

"I hope she got some pics of the RX-8s going around the track."

No one took the bait.

By the way, Mazdaspeed 3s took 3 of the 5 top spots in ST series in the Conti. Good for them!

Ohhhhh okay.
I spend most of my time in Liberty Springs, off of Maineville Rd or Foster Maineville. hhaha.
I see one that looks just like your 8 in Michaels Farm all the time, thought it might be you.

I feel like I live at that coffee shop sometimes - I do homework there or grab coffee at the drive through on my way home How about I order El Picante instead - they have better beverages, lol.

Weather was great today but I was too lazy to go to Fuel - hope those that went had a great time!
