Gratz Allen on the 8 purchase! King's is probably your best bet and yeah - guess I ran their Master Mechanic out - he saw Lucy one too many times and gave up, lol

So a little raccoon damage the other night on my girl and now she sounds like a bad ***.....lol, you can hear my exhaust now for sure in the video I shot this past week Yes my damn brakes are squeaking again - grrrrrrrrr
Thinking about putting on the summer tires this weekend - I predict we are done with measurable snow.

I have a quick 10 minute and free mod that might help you out a bit.

I did it myself to get some sunroof clearance with a helmet on. It lowers the back of the seat about 3/4 of an inch. We can do it if you end up stopping by this weekend.

Cool. 3/4" is a lot. Looks good for Sunday. Wife is having lunch with a friend. I'm good for around 1PM.

I was against the s2's at first b/c I have always like the front of the s1's better. Just took me a bit to get used to. Car isn't going to be my daily driver, as I have a company van I drive, so seeing me on the road might be seldom at best. But I'd definitely be up for a meet anytime.

My wife thinks I'm having a mid-life crisis wanting to get rid of my jeep for a sports car. Guess that means I'm going to die young since I'm only 29.
Is this your vehicle of choice? Looks good but check the trunk out. Make sure they give you the tire patch kit. It should be on the right side of the trunk.

Yep, that's the car I have a deposit on. They didn't budge on that price much. What's with the tire patch kit?

Most 8's don't come with the tire patch kit, not that I know of anyways, they were more of an option was what I got out of it.
What's up with the color... looks like those pearl colors from Need For Speed.
Must be the walls surrounding it.
Make sure you take a good look around it, places that don't take shots in good backgrounds to let the car look like it would in person are fishy.
As far as the car, looks pretty good from what I can tell from the picture, though the back seat looks like someone spilled something or had some fun back there...

There's also This one. Little higher mileage, but lower price and closer. Pictures look cleaner too. Even more choices if you wanna stray from black.

Yeah, I actually started looking at that one first. I am getting the one in Chicago for about $1,000 more. Thought it might be worth the money to have lower miles, and the Mazda CPO. Backseat seems to be the only blemish that I've seen. I've looked at other pictures without the stupid curtain. There is some curb rash on a couple of the wheels and a scuff on the plastic part of the drivers side front bumper.

The AutoCheck they sent me came back clean other than it was originally a lease, but the carfax showed an accident July 09. I questioned the salesman about it, so hopefully everything is as he says.

Two weeks ago, I had my eye on a 08 Anniversary Edition at performance Toyota. Drove it twice. Decided to walk away to see if the dealer would take my offer of 17 otd, and they sold it the following day. Decided that I wanted an s2, and wanted an r3 or a gt model.

If I can find the other pics I'll post them, or throw some up if I end up buying it, which seems likely.

There's a bit more pics, let me know what you think. Looks like a ford dealer had it for a while a few months ago.

Link I posted didn't work, but here they are, just the quality isn't very good.

a2Wallen you did good, probably just some little TLC on the paint and some Resolve for that back seat. I would give it a good claybar and machine buff come spring. That Chicago weather is hard on the paint.

Every 8 came with the tire patch kit. Most did not come with a spare tire. It was an option.

Good luck tomorrow Allen
You're welcome to stop over Sunday too if you want to meet some of the locals.

Yeah I hope all goes well. If not, my wife and I don't have a flight back until monday.

Might be interested unless the wife has other plans for me. Did I miss where and at what time? Fox & Hound?

Check the DNA on the back seat. Could be a CSI crime scene. And as Futz said, patch kit was standard. Spare was optional. Not that I'd use it but just in case.

Fixing the rash on the wheels is about $100 per rim. I'm getting one of mine fixed and the rest painted in a week or two.

You can't meet us until you have proof of ownership. LOL! Date TBD, but pretty soon.

Sunday is at my house. A couple of the guys have small stuff to work on, some of them just haven't been over to see since we moved in Oct. I'll shoot you a PM with the address and my number.

Atredeus is coming over saturday i believe. I'll be working on my car all day hoping to get it back together. My goal is to get it together and started back up on saturday then detail it on sunday if we get the mild weather predicted.

I'll take a crime scene over some of the thoughts I had about the stain.

May wait a bit to fix the wheels until I curb it myself. Going to have a hard time stopping short of parking blocks, used to letting the jeep roll until the tires hit something.

So "future" owners are not invited? I already have an address, maybe someone wants to trade straight up for my jeep?

At stock height, my R3 can make it over most any parking block. Only scraped the splitter on a curb that was at a decently steep uphill grade, so that's really all you need to work on. I still tend to park a little out when I think about it to be on the safe side.

I'll probably switch to Sunday if that's when everyone else (but BB) is coming over. Still some guys I haven't met yet.

BB is sunday as well. I was about to post telling you that i won't be sad if you want to come sunday instead. Might as well have everyone over at once.

Besides, if it's cold tomorrow I might not get much work done anyway.

So, I'll see you all on Sunday.

Sunday definitely seems the better choice. You have a grill?... We could do burgers and dogs again or something.

spinning washer at 9000 rpm sounds quite a bit of washing power!
and Dryer with all that heat, it will dry clothes in no time.
