Pretty much an S1 thing anyway, since our S2 engines are so much better and more sophisticated :P

You're right. I don't burn as much oil as those inferior S1's do.

Anyone heard of Eclipse Window Tinting? I saw them at the Home and Garden show yesterday. They sounded like they knew what they were doing a laser cut the tint per model spec. Gives a cleaner edge, etc. Price seemed pretty good. Under $200 depending on material.

Wheels going over to Wheel Doctor this week to get painted. Should have them back by March 16. I asked again about limitations about car washes, etc. and they said no restrictions. Should last 5-10 years. Good enough for me.

The theory behind it is that after the rev up, the extra fuel is burn off instead of puddling in the combustion chamber. The book has you hold at 3k then kill the ignition, a lot of people just rev and kill the ignition, same thing basically. The hold at 3k just warms the engine up a bit more.

Yeah I agree with Fuz on that one....it is just a safety for noobs so they don't flood their beasts, lol. Lucy has never flooded so I think I am doing something right.

Hello and welcome new 8 owners!!!

Mazdax3 - Eclipse did my tint and they did a great job I think and it has a lifetime warranty so hard to go wrong. What color 8 is new in our territory? I see a winning blue at the Fifth Third bank on 22/3 across from Tractor Supply now - must be an employee because I see it there often. Lots of 8's coming out of hibernation finally

welcome to the new guys...
Fuz is right, but all that is due to crappy ignition coils, so look into BHR's ignition system...

Milford. We just had a meet at my house a couple weeks ago. I'll probably do another but it won't be until later in the summer most likely. The Ohio Rotary guys are looking to do a meet at Devou Park here in the very near future.

http://cincyscca.com/autocross/ is a good place to start. PM Lycanthrope as well. He's one of the co-chairs and loves to get people involved. I'm surprised he hasn't posted yet since we're getting close to the first event.

Like Fuz said PM Lycanthrope (Nathan) or check the SCCA site. About a week or so before the first event they will open online registration on the website via the schedule page and you can preregister there or you can show up early on location on the day of the event you want to participate in. On site registration usually starts at around 8AM. Also, if you have any further questions I would be glad to help if I can or help you find someone who has an answer.

We have one or two out on the eastside. A couple Northern KY guys (Byako and BB)... Couple up near Deerfield/Mason (kytten, x3, and Allen I think), I'm up in West Chester, one up in Middletown, and I think we might have one or two on the West Side as well.

In other words, all over the place.

Chief also lives in NKY but is away until June I think. Most of you guys live up there by Ma$on.

Just curious for all of you new members...

What do you all do for a living?

If you can swing it, go to DGRR towards the end of april. Lots of rotaries, lots of good people, and lots of fun.

Fuel first then head to my place around 11:30/noon or so? Hopefully it will be relatively warm by then.

Quit your whining. I'm approaching 102k. I'm mostly in Columbus as Fuz and everyone else said. I may be back this weekend but I'm not 100% sure yet, but if so I'll be at Fuel as well.

Thanks for the thumbs up on Eclipse. That might be in the plans once I get the wheels done and the springs installed. Saturday looks like Kevin and I will tackle a non-rusted S2. Should be easier than RedSun's WD-40-by-the-case rusted on suspension nuts and bolts.

Winning Blue is new one on the block. My Doctor's nurse picked that up from Kings a few weeks ago. Right now our CX-7 is in the shop looking for a stalling problem. Of course, it doesn't do it when it's there. Never happened to me, but the wife drives it a lot more than I do.

Maybe it's how she's driving it...

Y'all need to ease up, or Kevin's head will get even bigger than it already is. Then how's he going to fit into the 8?

I'm out around Burlington way, lots of great roads so maybe when I get home (if I can talk the wife into it, and you northerners won't mind driving down) we can meet at my place for driving and then a cook out.

As for what I do, it's a secret...It involves me being gone for a period of time, and I get to sit idle while I'm home. Mostly idle.

I mentioned that as a possibility. Didn't go over well, Chief.

Could be the crappy Kroger's gas too. I don't put that in the 8, although I have been using Costco and the 8 seems to run well on it and save me about .20/gallon.
