Allen, did you get rid of the Jeep finally? If not, I have a buddy that might be slightly interested.
Welcome Bobbydigital Check out fuel from the link Brad posted. It's a good shot at meeting up with some of us on saturday morning. They are also doing a cars and coffee on wednesday evenings from 5 to 9. I'm actually up in blue-ash area at the moment so i won't be down there tonight. This is a good thread to watch as i'm sure we'll have a get-together or two throughout the summer. I may have a cookout at my place at some point in the not too distant future.
I won't be at fuel this saturday since i'll be out of town. Enjoy yourselves as it looks to be good weather.

I've been searching for excuses to get out of the house and leaving for work an hour early just to cruise. I've been hitting up a lot of back roads in Indian Hill near where I work. Too much fun.

I didn't make Fuel tonight. I was at Silver Spring House off Kemper tonight. Met with some friends and got to drive a new GTI. Not bad, but rather be driving my 8. Not a fan of FWD anymore.
I'll be at Fuel on Saturday if the weather holds out. I do have to get home and actually do some yard work I've been putting off for like forever. Weeds outnumber the plants in the mulch beds.
Hopefully they're be a big contingent of 8s there this weekend. We need to outnumber the Subies.

How's it going? Joined a month ago after I bought my rx8. Thought I would make my first post here to meet some local people. I'm 23, finishing school and live in the Blue Ash are of cincy. My car is an 05 MT stock but have big plans for it. Only have had it for a month and I haven't loved a car more.
I'll be at fuel saturday morning as long as it's not raining.

It's black. I'm usually in the Montgomery and blue ash area. I'm over in deer park when I'm dropping off coworkers from the bars some nights. Right by that udf where your at.

Does anyone running with negative camber notice any significant inner tread wear? I got some XXR 552's that are 19x10 with a 22 (i think) offset and I can't put them on without some more modifications. Bad thing is, she's my daily driver and i commute about 60 miles a day. I bought some bridgestone s-04's that cost a pretty penny and I don't really want to just throw them away.
I really want to get into auto x within the next month if not sooner. I haven't put the s techs on the back yet, but i'm thinking that will help get me some MOAR CAMBER. lol. that and pulling the fenders a but may get them to tuck real nice. Here's some pics I took after rolling and putting the wheels on (which came back off real quick).

If you really want run enough camber to make those fit, you'll need to run 0 toe in the back. For a daily driver, you shouldn't though as toe in (factory is toed in a little front and rear) is what makes your car stable in a strait line and will keep you from darting all over our lovely groved and cracked roads.
Furthermore if you really want to run that wheel without poke, you'll need to be lower than s-techs will get you, and will need more negative camber than you'll be able to get out of just s-techs. You'll most likely need a narrower tire to keep you somewhat close to having the very tip of the tire tuck during suspension travel.
Your setup is not very autocross friendly and will be less so the harder you try to make it fit.

8AM to noon. I'll be there early if it's not raining. Tired of parking away from the action. Mr. Broke, can I ask what size tires you are running? Hopefully very low profile with that size.

Mr. Broke, just noticed your pics, I responded from my email so I did not see them.
Are you sure those are 19’s?????? Look like 18X10, also do you have a +22 offset in the front as well? Looks like you have a more positive offset in the front from the pic than the rear, but I am judging this by your second picture .
I will say that if you decide to lower it, you will need some more work, as just rolling is not going to be enough. This is not to deter you, merely to let you know what you have ahead of you. You’re going to have to run at least -2.5 camber in the rear to get that to tuck, as well as some trimming. The front is going to require some plastic trimming on the inner fender liner on the back side of the fender liner (if it’s a +22 offset). This will prevent the scraping that will occur on the outside edge of the tire.
If your budget allows, I would suggest coilovers, due to the height adjustment, just in case you’re not happy with the spring drop, but it is not necessary. Beyond that if you want those tires to tuck without a lot of camber, the other option is to pull the fender out, which I don't advise. To me wear of tires is just a result of running something like this, and something you just have to live with. You will have to pull your fender out really far, but I wouldn't pull my fender; it’s too abrasive for a DD IMO, but that is your call and your car.
If you have 18's, you should have picked up my 285/30 Hankooks, I let them go for $200, it was the best handling setup I had, would have been great for autocross, and wouldn't have required anything else to work, just a drop and a nice performance alignment.
Get your exact tire and wheel specs and I can get a better perspective.

Funny thought just occured to me about your car Mr. Broke, your car looks EXACTLY like Dave Lemon's old Time Attack Car! That car was pretty high on coilovers, and was running 285/35/18's, which looks like your's.

Wendy's having fun!!!
awallen, I can't watch Tact's videos (even with our recent upgrade our connection is slow), but I know in my Miata I have never shifted out of second on any course, my top speed has been about 45 (you are usually too busy looking for cones to check the speedo).
Wimp. Drive the Miata with the top down and show that cold who's boss.
