Anyone here planning on going to Mid-Ohio in June? I just found out about it and I'm going to try to go. Not sure if the wife will go, she's still miffed that she wasn't introduced to Patrick Dempsey last year as she was promised.
No Mid-O for me in June. I'll be on track at Putnam park instead. Driving > watching

No argument with that. Do you have any info on the Putnam day? I'd like to get the Miata on a track some time, but with my height and the low roll bar I have that will likely prove impossible.

Ryan and I are planning on going again this year. We have gone every year for the last 4 years. It was tons of fun last year, that was the first time we participated in the Mazda owner's corral. It was totally worth it.

S-tech's are what most people run, they're good springs... just make sure you buy real ones, as some are fakes. Search for legit suppliers.

Chief likes them a whole bunch and they have pictures to prove it.

As for Mid Ohio, I'll most likely go. I like to hit the Friday practices and the race on Saturday. I have to check schedules since my travel is picking up now.

Not any more they don't (and I've been checking occasionally).

I haven't gotten a response from the wife about Mid-Ohio yet, so I can't say what days if any I will be there. Once I get that sorted out maybe we can all figure out a place to meet up or something (maybe convoy up there).

Truva,

Goodwin is legit, but not well liked on this forum. I wouldn't buy anything from him now considering his smug attitude about Chief's pics.

Check out this,

http://www.tein.com/dealer_list/index.html

Most of those dealers that have Tein's listed for $150.00 on the web are not on this authorized list... stay away. Try IPS Motorsports, for about $180.00 shipped they're legit, and from Ohio.

We could do the caravan. I guess there's a corral there again this year. Mama will let me go if I get a pic of the Dempster.

Gonna be the last time the RX-8s will be running at Mid-Ohio in the Grand Am series. Next year they're gone.

Just got off the phone with the wife, and we are both going to Mid-Ohio. She's going to get the tickets, FYI if you guys don't know it the price goes up on 04 May so get them while they are cheaper. Probably leave Saturday morning early and spend the night up there. She informed me no camping (I jokingly said we could do that to see how vehement her response would be), and no taking the Miata. So we'll be in the 8 (she took the Speed last year).

Here's the link for the Mazda Corral tickets: http://www.midohio.com/Store/Tickets...Corral-Advance

This is for James. As you can see the RB springs sit low in the rear. That's one of the reasons I am switching back to the BC coilovers, her car will scrape on the lip of our drive if anyone is riding in the back.

Is anyone willing to help me install my Lebren Accent Light? I am not that good with wires, and would like some help. This will be wired for my 3rd brake light.

Swap springs with the Ford pickup truck sitting behind the 8.

Rounding up the boys to see who's going. Chief, hotel rooms are hard to get and I've stayed in Mt Vernon a couple times. Book soon.

James, just stick the wires in your mouth until you find the ones that give you a little charge.

Steve, the truck belongs to a cop. I'm sure he wouldn't like his macho image tarnished by having a lowered truck.

The B&B next to the track was already booked. The wife said something about staying in the same place she did last year, she has already said something about shopping at a mall close by. You should bring your wife Steve, at least that way we would have one car to take out on the track.

Oh, and my body kit has arrived. My friend picked it up but there was hassle (at my house) with where it should go so he's keeping it in his work storage until I get home.

Ryan and I usually drive into Columbus or close to it on Friday night after we get off work and come to the track early Saturday morning and stay all day then leave Saturday night. But, like I said before we'll be hanging around the corral on Saturday.

Eren Dupee (Lebren) just gave me the scoop on the install, should be a breeze to hook up. I may try your method though... sounds more exciting, especially if I run it in series

Holiday Inn Express in Mt Vernon is nice and it's only a 20-25 minute drive on some backroads to get there. The Ruby Tuesday's has NASCAR on the bar TV on Friday nights. Big pick up turnout I tell you.

The wife will not go to a track unless there's a Kohls or Macys on the track's grounds.

Edit: Checked around. Quite a few motel rooms in Mansfield and Mt Vernon left. The Days Inn by the Lexington exit still has rooms Friday night.

It ain't the voltage that kills ya, just the current. If you've ever been zapped by a CRT with the 10K or more voltage, you'd know that. Take it from one who's gotten zapped a number of times working on those bastards.
