Mine is a little better than that, I have to say. She couldn't remember where she stayed last time when I asked earlier and said she was too busy to look it up. I may have to urge her on with the thought that if she doesn't get to it, we just might be camping after all (track tickets are already bought).

I remember the first time I got bitten by juice. I was about 13, we had a basement light with a pull chain that broke. I figured I could fix it, everything was going well up to the point where the screwdriver I was using to push the chain back into the slot slipped and I shorted across 120. That was rather a rude awakening. Knowing what I know now, I'm glad we didn't live in Europe.

Lucky for me that my wife is as into the car scene as I am Just might have to get tickets for Mid-Ohio for us this year and make a camping trip out of it.

Just gotta brag a little - though we all know that Lucy winning anything usually results in a mechanical failure soon after - broke two rear wheel studs for this Best Mazda win at the Sports and Import Car Club show last weekend. I know haters gonna hate on my car, lmao, but she cleans up well and always stands out in the crowd All show, no go...a bit like a high school cheerleader I suspect

I have spring compressors you can use on struts, if that's what you mean. You wouldn't be able to lay hands on them for about two weeks yet though.

Since everyone else was busy being a smartass, I'll be the first to say way to go! I do have to ask though, how did you break the wheel studs?

2X the price of an RX-8. 3X the horsepower of an RX-8. Almost 4X the amount of torque of an RX-8. But it's still a Mustang.

Thanks Chief and I am not 100% sure but I suspect maybe I was careless when running the Dragon and didn't keep checking my lug tightness enough and they might have come loose and then during some spirited driving back here the loose combined with the crap stock studs caused the two to shear off - I am sure I didn't tighten them down too much and snap them so I am not sure what else would have caused it...was glad to catch it before something bad happened though
On a side note the trophies for the other makes were pistons, lol, they thought ahead for the Mazda group which was impressive we thought even though there were non-rotary Mazdas there as well.

Here is a pic of the broken studs if people want to try to guess what caused it...

Congrats on the win Wendy. I thought you may have won by doing some crazy donuts like the ones in your video. Going to go with a new set of extended lugs, or just replace them with stockers?

Looks like the studs are broken cleanly across, and at about the same height. Were they even with or maybe a little below the wheel surface? I'm guessing so based on the other studs' pattern of clean/dirty threads. The fact they are opposite each other suggests to me that it was an overtightening issue. But then again, I might be talking out of somewhere you don't normally expect!

We got our room in Mansfield for Friday and Saturday nights for Mid-Ohio. Not sure how soon on Friday we will head up yet.

Okay, my friend opened the box and sent me some pictures of the 7 body kit. It is the one I have been wanting (Pacifica) with a vertical air dam which is the look I prefer over the later, more common underslung ones. It will need some work but for $250 I expected that, overall it looks solid. I've attached a picture of how it will look, this is one I tried getting a long time ago but it fell through. Don't worry, mine won't be painted flat black!

I think it'll look great chief. Can't wait to see it complete.

James: When are you taking your car to spade? I'd like to buy those fogs off you whenever you get them off.

Looks good. Need to get it done and bring it to Fuel.

I hit Fuel tonight from about 5-7PM. Not a lot of cars but an older JDM Nissan GT-R right handed driver was there. Looked pretty good.

I would've loved to see that car in person. What color was it?

Redsun, the car is in the shop right now, (Boitnott's). They do all the body work stuff for Spade, so I cut out the middle man. Hopefully will be done soon.

Mazdax3 if that Skyline you saw was blue, I have seen it on Mall road at a Thai Restaurant before. Beautiful car, did you happen to get a pic?

Looked black to me but it could have been really dark blue. No pix of it though.

The one I saw had gold wheels on it. Not sure if they were XXR's or not, but looked concave. I was too busy in awe of it to remember, but I think it was an R33.

Hey James, can you ask Boitnott's if they have ever worked on a first gen RX-7 when you pick up your car? Specifically cutting out and replacing rusted metal. Thanks.
