count me in. I'll probably be there around 10:00 or 11:00.
if you want, I have old charcoal grille (small one when i was in apt), that I can bring over (and you can through it away or you can keep it if you want).

Lol. Not coilovers for this ride. The lowering springs are enough. I got more attention at fuel in it than the 8.

I'll bring the grille then. Do you have those things to flip the burger etc? Let me know if you want me to bring anything else.

Damn Kevin, that's nice! Judging from the lack of cars in your pictures, you must have been at Fuel before we got there. Lots of VWs, several of them in the too low category (Robyn asked me how they drive like that). There was one other Miata there (third gen) but no other Mazdas. Robyn told me I needed to get the 7 done to wow people there.

I actually got there really late. I stopped on my way home from Kettering where I bought the car.

Tact, just the grill is fine. I should have everything else including utensils. I'll go on a food run after we start working and I have a head count.

Holy crap! I'm working on (finally) installing the Koni yellows/RPM K-spec springs on the Speed I got several years ago. Decided to start on the rears as they are usually the easiest. Not on this car! One side is done, I'm resting a bit so I don't get heat stroke and then will do the other side. Fronts will be tomorrow. Should be good once I'm done, I'm getting some new tires for the 8 and will have the Yokohamas that are on the wheels she is using put onto the stock 8 wheels, and then put those on the Speed. I want that grip any way possible!

Oh, and I will have a set of 17" winter wheels/tires for sale soon, I have to check on the age of the tires (tread is still decent). The wheels need help but aren't horrible. Did I mention they will be cheap?

Can anyone suggest someplace in the Tri-State to get a new cat for my 2005 RX-8? I'm looking for the best deal, but not necessarily the lowest price if it's not done correctly. Thanks.

Are you looking for a stock replacement cat, or an aftermarket/DIY type?

Mike, just how many projects on your cars do you have going?

So you're putting S1 wheels on the Speed6? Curious how that's going to look.

More than the wife wants me to! Got the fronts installed in two hours this morning, including having to swap out one of the upper mounts (due to a broken stud on one I bought). When I pulled it out of the garage to sweep, I found a conical bushing/spacer lying on the floor. I think I know where it goes but it will have to wait for tomorrow.

There have been quite a few people who put 8 wheels on a Speed, it looks pretty good but I really want some five double spoke wheels for it. My search continues.

The current lack of noise from my 8 is literally killing me. I won't make it a week having to drive around in relative silence. I don't think I can ever own a car without performance exhausts ever, I can't even hear the engine over my normal volume of music with the windows down...how am I supposed to know where I am in the RPM band!?!

I expected that to be completely off... but it's actually not bad, aside from the idling sounds. Not sure where that talent would get someone though.

I guess if he had sinus congestion, you could call that a cold air intake.

Got the piece put back on the Speed today, it went where I thought it did. Had a nice refreshing afternoon nap (no old jokes, you all wish you could do it) so started the supercharger swap on the Miata. I have new tires incoming for the 8, with the Miata down I would have to bring the 8 to Fuel but we're heading back to my cousin's wedding reception on Saturday so I won't be able to make it. He's just a couple years younger than me, getting married for the first time and didn't tell my aunt until 3-4 weeks beforehand. Plus they got married out of state so I don't think she will have been able to go to the wedding. I can't wait to hear what she really thinks of all that!

There's nothing wrong with a good afternoon nap.

Speaking of naps, I could use one right about now. Wait, it's almost bedtime.

Gotta pull the plugs in the Miata this weekend. Check them and the wires too. I'm getting a little bit of a miss around 3K. I still have the original plugs at 38K in. Since it doesn't get used during the winter, I'm sure things are a bit dirty. I might try Seaform in a tank of gas to clean up the injectors.

From all I've read, Miatas are very sensitive to plugs and wires. I'm going to a COP setup myself, hopefully I won't have to worry with it.
