Putting my Enkei RP02-J back up for sale.
18" x 8" +38 offset. No rash. No TPMS. $85 each. Each rim is about 18 lbs.
I'll post here first and then Craig's list. They look good on a black or gray RX-8.

Looks like this on an S1. I bought the rims off my friend after he sold his 8.

sorry to hear about the car bobby :/
just started posting, had my 8 about 6 months now. Figured I'd drop in and say hey. Only 8 owners I have met in our area nky/cincy are Yuki and Dylan, and a few guys on facebook from cincy.

^ saw your post in the aggressive thread, I saw you last night on Mall rd... damn your cars low.
Anyway this FRS thingy is starting to grow on me... the 951 would be a good down payment.

I would rather wait for the 2017 RX-7 that's back on track (again). Built on the new MX-5 platform but pushing 300HP using the 16X and a special catalyst to handle the smog. No mention about meeting economy standards, but then maybe they'll put cylinder deactivation in it.

I'd wait until the BRZ STI or whatever they are going to call it arrives. Now if they price it at $35K, they'll price me right out of the market.

So it seems like its going to be a no go on another rx8. The insurance in another one is going to be too high for me to afford.
So I'm looking into sticking with Mazda and getting either the mazda 3 hatchback or a speed3 hatchback. Maybe in a couple of years when I am accident free and my premiums drop I'll be able to get back into another 8. Until then I'll still be around at Fuel and what not.
Also Tact I have those rubber floor mats Kevin gave me if you or anyone else would want them.
Also I have a set of Tein hood dampers I'll let go for $50 bucks if anyone wants. Bought them for $100 a month ago.

sorry to hear the no go for another 8, but by the time when you get the premium drops, that's gonna be right on with the RX7 release!
I don't know if it fit you, but I got Scion xB (2006 5spd with 70,000 miles or so) sitting on my drive way.
it's not certainly driver's car, but it will be a great daily driver.
The car belongs to my former student, and she left the car here until sell and moved to NY.
if interested, feel free to come down, and test drive it and if you like it, I can tell her to come down to sign the title.

Speed3 is a good choice but will the insurance be much cheaper? Finding a Speed3 with low miles and not abused will be a bit tough. Turbo seals on early models tend to start to blow out around 50K to 75K if not maintained.
What will you do with all that torque?![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I found an 08 with 40,000 on it. Gonna take a look tomorrow. Average 10,000 miles a year is nice. I'll have to keep that in mind about the turbo seals. Thanks for the heads up.
For a while I won't know what to do with the extra tourqe I'm not used to.

Surprisingly the quote from my insurance put the rx8 at double what I pay now after my premiums increase and the speed3 only increasing by about half of what I pay now.

I do miss my MS6 since torque steer was pretty much eliminated by the AWD and winter wasn't a problem in snow and wet pavement. Too bad the Speed3 doesn't have that.
Edit: I'd buy one if the RX-8 wasn't around. I like the looks of the hatchback, especially in white.

Hmmm... that's just shy of 300hp. If this has been confirmed, and this car is claimed to be lighter than the FD, this car will be something worth waiting for. I already know the chassis will be right being on the ND platform.
Let's hope they don't kill the idea. On paper, assuming it doesn't cost north of $35k, this could be the most exciting car to come out in a long time for a reasonable price... we shall see in 2017

As for A Brz Sti, I doubt the price tag would jump to 35k, it would put it in the same category as the Wrx Sti.
Corey sorry to hear about your wreck and glad to see you're alright. Good luck with the car hunt. The MS3 is a good looking car. The hatchback look has grown on me in the last several years, as evidenced by my Sti. My only gripe is that sometimes it doesn't seem like a sports car since it's not low slung and kinda cramped like everything else I've ever owned. But then I put my foot down and all is forgiven.

The brakes on a 370 suck also. Just ask Car and Driver about their test at VIR. They did upgrade the brake pads for 2013, but still weak for a track car.
RX-7 won't sell in big numbers but each brand needs a signature car. The CX-5 and new 6 are too generic and mass market. Nothing now, except the 2015 Miata, to bridge that gap.

I was thinking the same thing. Apparently with everyone jumping ship we no longer have anything going on. I am still on ship so have nothing to contribute (except the wife reports her 8 won't start and it sounds sick. What that means, I have no idea).

We lost like 4 or 5 people this year to sold or crashed vehicles. With the 8 out of production, only new people will be the ones buying high-mile S1s probably. Not seeing a lot of S2s out there now. For a few weeks this summer, I saw a lot of them tooling around.
Wife wants my second set of Enkeis out of the garage. Why I don't know since they're not taking up more room than the summer rubber stack. It's almost time for me to exchange locations with the lawnmower and snow blower, but I'm not giving in just yet.
