Yeah tell me about it. No MS3's around here unfortunately. Any ideas???
I'm not set on the IS300 but I have been doing alot of research about doing a 5 speed swap with the r154 from an mkIII supra, soarer, or chaser. Which would make for a fun project at some point down the road.

As for me, I'm looking at body shops up in Columbus. Some jackass decided to grace us with the gift of his 3rd DUI and play pinball will all 3 parked cars in the driveway over the weekend. Also had something against the mailbox and the bush guarding it. Either way, he barely pushed my grandparents' van into my back bumper, so minor scuffs and whatnot. But it's not coming out of my pocket to get it fixed, so might as well.

Hey I've just recently move to Cincinnati and I've seen a lot of 8's rolling around just wondering if any of them were you guys? I would like to do.d a group to ride with from time to time.

Unfortunately the car needs to come from Ohio. If you total out a car in Ohio and purchase a new one within 30 days of the settlement your insurance company has to reimburse you for the sales tax on the car. Which applies to cars bought in Ohio.

You pay sales tax when you title the vehicle. It doesn't matter where the car is from since you'll be transferring and titling the car in Ohio. That's when you'd pay sales tax. All you need is a signed title and an inspection. The inspection is $2 at the title office and all they do is come out and look at the vin to make sure it matches the title.
cars in your price range that would still be fun to own in no particular order:
is300 (manual)
WRX or STI (2004 is likely the only one in your price range for an STI)
Mini Cooper S (might be able to get into an S at that price)
E36 M3 (hard to find low mileage at this point, but cheap to insure due to age)
E34 M5 (my body style. Cheap to insure. 311hp and 14k will get you a super clean low mileage one)
E28 M5 (even older, that all black one that shows up at C&C from time to time is for sale for around that price i believe)
MS3 if you can find one
GTI (there's a few generations in your price range)
2nd gen MR2 Turbo + a beater for winter.
Focus SVT (kinda fun and surprisingly quick, but hard to find. You can pick them up for way under 10k)
Civic SI (I know, a honda, but not bad for the money and cheap to fix/insure)
Audi A4/S4 (Lots to pick from age wise)
Older Jetta GLI
Newer body style C-class benz might dip into your price range as well.

I did find a clean looking E36 M3 but I'm trying to figure out a way to convince my dad its not too old...

I'd run fast away from the Speed3 with 75K and 2007. Turbo is probably blowing smoke out the tailpipe. Not an uncommon problem with the DISI of that generation. Part of the reason I sold my Speed 6 at 55K. I knew the seals would need replacing soon. This one with CEL popping? See ya!
Oh, and 32.7MPG? Not likely unless driving downhill. Best I ever did on my Speed 6 was 27 and that was downhill out of TN into NC.

Haha tearing him apart. Awesome.
I'm kinda interested In that 325xi and g35 I posted. Both around 72k for $12,000. I test drove the 325xi today and it drove like a dream to my surprise. I'm test driving the g35 tomorrow after my appt with the neuro. Also there is a 2004 A4 2.0T with 65k and a 2006 BMW 325xi with 75k that are going to auction that a friend of my fathers who owns a dealership will be looking at. Those are on auction Friday so we will see what happens. At this point honestly I just want a car to call my own. The beamers and the a4 would probably be more practical being AWD and at some point down the line I can snag another rx8 as a second car because my fun in it was cut quite short, before moving onto something else like everyone else seems to be doing around here.

2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT For Sale In Fairfield OH 45014 - Dixie Imports
This car is nice, and it's got the better wheels, intake and looks cleaner overall and oh, did I mention it's not BLACK?
^ for the record, here is my buddy's car from the Army who had a Silver '06 w/graphite leather, it had an original Ken style body Kit on it, with a Tein Flex suspension, and it handled, accelerated and looked great. He sold it a few years ago. I remember taking that first picture there in AZ, and it was right before we put a "mesh" grill in it. There is a guy from Colombus that shows up at Fuel now and then with one that's at least as nice as this one is.

BB8, hope you don't mind me stealing your idea of replacing the fake mesh on the rear bumper with the real thing :/ I'm doing it today.

Nah I don't unfortunately. It was in possession of my insurance company (Progressive). I'm not sure what they do with the cars after they total then out. You could always put a call into them and see if they can point you in the right direction.

I also have progressive. I'll be giving them a call on Monday. Thanks! I bought the parts from a guy on the "for sale" thread but one of the parts was wrong. `

New Guy - Looks pretty good. LOL Now what you need are some awesome Mazda courtesy lights. Also we need more pics to better judge you!
Hi there - let me know when, I'd be down and welcome to the Natti!

For anyone who is a member over on Mazdas247, there are some folks trying to get a Mazda gathering together for next weekend. Go to the Ohio subforum and look for the Cincinnati thread. It takes me too long to cross link with the speed we have.

I would like to eventually. But in another way, I'm ready to start on more performance and braking upgrades. I've done quite a bit with the suspension in the year I've owned it, so I think I'll see how it handles with the new rear sway bar and try to make a decision from there. I'm a little worried the front is going to feel a little loose. I must say though, the rear of the car looks damn good with an extra 3 1/2 inches wide. I'm hoping to have the whole project wrapped up in the next two weeks, including repaint, but That's very optimistic. Worst case, it'll be a nice Christmas gift to myself... maybe new year gift.

The Mini will be the only one included though.
Nate got smashed into this morning in Loveland, we're 70% sure the 350z is totaled.

I don't know this Nate fellow, but I've seen a really nice blue 350 riding around Loveland. I pray that is not it!

Beginning my journey homeward here in a couple of hours. Off the ship today, start flying tomorrow and back Stateside Saturday. If the weather is nice next Saturday, guess where I'll be? No guessing on which car I'll be in.

If anyone is interested in a set of 4 Bridgestone RE960 all seasons with probably 1/3 tread life left, they're free. I won't recommend them for winter driving, but if you're about to sell your car or need a bridge tire until you can afford them, you can have them.
245x40 R18.
My set of Conti Extreme DWS should be in from Tire Rack early next week. I'll be changing them out at Bob Sumerel Tires in Maineville probably a week from Friday the 14th. This will save me 8 bucks in tire disposal fees.
