Did you try maybe calling Endurance Motorsports where Yuki worked? They didn't F my 8 up when I had it in last week and that is more than I can say for King's lately......
Didn't know Yuki is at Endurance Motorsports..
I'll give it a try... want to get it fixed before the autox season starts...

Always good to see another S2 around town.

Wendy, Kings has slipped a notch or two. Not sure if it's a change in management or just the typical BS car dealers dish out.

Congrats on the Baby News Kevin

Just bought a house, so this year is going to be a busy ($$) one. Although, I currently am in a bidding war for a full set of adjustable M030's, if I can snag them really cheap I'll at least have something I can rebuild over time. My plan is to focus on the suspension, little by little ($).

Congrats for a big purchase!
It's always good to have somewhere you can call home, and also have a place to put all the spares you took off of your car!

by the way, does anyone have use for LCD BackPac for GoPro?
I ordered WiFi Backpack, but I received LCD...
the store does not have any WiFi in stock anymore, and their customer service sucks...
anyhow, if anyone's interested, please let me know. GoPro recently dropped the price, at their store, but at least I can save you some shipping and tax...

I used a dremel to cut through hoping to not hit threads, then tried hitting it with an impact and a long (5') breaker bar with no luck, so i just went at it with a hammer and chisel until it finally broke apart and spun. It took most of a day. It ended up being a 3 day job because of that and having to get the bearings pressed, and a new caliper when it was all said and done. Man i hated working on that damn car.
Kevin, I know wrong way drive cars have their axle nuts in tight, in this case though it was only supposed to be 181 lbs-ft. In any event they decided to just scrap the car due to all the problems, her last car was a money pit and she didn't want another. They ended up finding a used 2006 Elantra for a decent price so at least she now has a somewhat reliable vehicle (that doesn't reek of smoke).

181 lbs-ft is still a lot and is probably right. I know all about wanting to scrap a car and start over. pretty much what happened with the escort and buying the old 525. One brake pad change turned into a caliper replacement too many. It was never a money pit, but it used up a lot of nickels and dimes. Glad it's gone and i really like the big old 5er. Good luck with the elantra. That is one company that has come a long way and you don't hear much negative about their newer cars.

The M3 i mentioned earlier looks like it could be a serious possibility, but it won't be happening until spring most likely. It used to be a toy/track car but has become a daily driver now that the owner has a 997 C4s. He said he's probably gonna mull it over and wait till spring to get rid of it if he's going to. I'm just going to be patient and see what happens. Waiting a few months would really be best for me anyway.

It's 2+ oversized by width, so we can get two cars in and have plenty of room to throw stuff around while two cars are in there. I had to make sure I bought a house with a mild curb, because my car will be a lot lower than it is now. You’re welcome to use my garage any time you want (or anyone else for that matter on RX8Club).

Since I am off Pleasant Valley, you should be able to "stumble" home Chief.

Won't get the keys 'til March, but was driving by the house and saw a couple of my neighbors on my street have a couple cars this past weekend. One has a beautiful blacked out NSX with black RPf1's on it, gotta check that out. Another has two "Dirty Vegas" “Days Go By” styled Eclipses from the early 2000’s on jack stands in his garage (not sure what the fascination is, but I am sure he has a sickness like me).

I’ve been reading extensively and have consulted with Jason Burkett (owner of Paragon Products) and Skip Wolfe (Wolfe Racing and PCA Instructor) about my setup.

The Setup: If I can snag those M030 struts today, I will have them rebuilt by Koni (or Phil at True Choice in Hilliard, whichever’s cheapest). Jason is confident that Koni can work magic with these units, and even converting to double adjustable (which is prohibitively expensive and unnecessary for my means). I decided against aftermarket coil overs for two reasons, 1.initial cost, 2. I can build a reliable setup with the torsion bars that works just as good. I plan on using big sways from the M030 968, (30mm f, and 19mm 3-way rear). Solid 29mm torsion bars from a Super Beetle (there cheaper but fit the same). For front springs, I will use new collars and mounts from Jason and 400# Hypercoils. I also will use a raised top mount camber plates (more clearance for shocks) such as the ones from ground control along with their strut bar. Outside of going to KW3’s (ironically, that is what the guy that is selling the M030’s went to). No coil over can match this setup for $1500, not even the Bilstein Cup setup that would be too harsh according to these guys.

The camber plates will also give me more steering feel that I believe is lacking in this car. This setup will warrant a little under steer, but that is what you want if you are not an experienced driver like me. Too much over steer would be dangerous in this car for me; it’s got too much power.

P.S. I deleted most of my profile because someone really P*** me off on here, I gotta stop taking this stuff so seriously LOL.

Jesus, started my car up today, and it revved to the 5k mark to warm itself up. No wonder my fuel economy blows in the winter.

Bidding went way higher than I was willing to pay. Anyhow, found a guy with M030 rears that have 40k on them and is willing to part for a bill still waiting for him to take them off his car... at least I'm not left with nothing. I may just build some custom Bilstein Firehawk's that are already valved right... or something in the front with the 400# coils. I don't think it's worth it to rebuilt the ones I have at that point seeing as they are non-adjustable at the top. Gotta see what else is out there.

Yes I have noticed and my car will never be going back there again

Anyhow - anyone planning Cars & Coffee Saturday to support those folks after the vandalism they experienced this week - I don't get down there often, rarely late enough to see you sleeping beauties but it irritates me when good local business men and women suffer because somebody was "bored", grrrrrrrrr. WOrth a stop in this weekend despite the weather to support them I say.

WHAAAT! That's BS! Why would someone vandalize that place? There is nothing to gain from doing that I would go down, but I have immigration stuff and a home inspection as well as homework this weekend. Uggh that bothers me.

I'll have to snap some new pictures and post them. I like it a lot, drives great but the stock 4x4 look was killing me so I'm pairing up a set of tanabe gf210's with a set of Tokico illuminas to fix that.
