the roller suppose to be in tomorrow, according to FedEx, but my car is at SCCA Booth at Duke Energy Center for the Auto Expo until Sunday.
I can do pretty much any weekends after that. Any weekends work better than the other? I'm thinking 16th or 23rd weekends, hoping weather will get warmer by then...

also who else is planning on joining? please chime in if you'd like. I can get burger and hotdogs as usual.

I'm in to join. Also the IS bolt pattern is the same at the rx8 so might as well get in on this while I can Also for using it I'll throw you some money to make up for the costs you incurred to get it here. Hopefully my Illuminas show up before we meet so I can get my suspension set up while we have the tools out. Let me know when you want to do it so I can plan in advance with work. What food were we wanting to do? Tact your not buying it all again this time... You're too nice.

The rear on a S2 is about an inch different from a S1.

This spring I'm going to try to preload again or maybe even put on some Bilstein or Koni Yellows while I can still get them.

Kind of Jonesing for Spring to arrive and I can put the summer rubber and wheels back on.

I'm thinking of 9th 16th or 23rd. I'm pretty much free on any of those days, so let's do it on the day we can have most people. if Sunday is preferred, that's works for me. let's pick a day for now, and play by ear based on the weather.

If no objection, i'll just get them all. it's not expensive or anything so don't worry about it.
I have basic tools, but please bring jack stands as we'll never have too many jack stands... lol

I'll be doing brake jobs and also rolling my fender a little more. I'll have food, drinks and plenty of flat driveway for anyone wants to work on their car. just I like working on the car with other people around. so if you just want to hang around for food, that's totally fine with me as well!

I'd rather it be on a Sunday. Saturdays are difficult to get off work as opposed to Sundays but if more people can do Saturday ill try and figure something out. And any of those weekends should work for me.

I've seen quite a few, just didn't know if someone had a suggestion or a good experience with a certain dealer.

Have an anniversary coming up, so I'm also considering some other additions to the car.

1. Brakes (StopTech SportStop Drilled and Hawk HPS Street pads)
2. Oil cooler screens
3. LOWER (probably tein s tech)
4. Catback Exhaust (Leaning towards the Racing beat w/ single tips) also saw turboXs exhausts, little worried about being too loud.
5. Odula front lip

Love any suggestions for mods.

Allen, my dad works for a Centric distributor. If you want to go that route, let me know if you want me to look into pricing on this.

What kind of pads are you looking for (semi-metallic etc)? BTW, Kevin is right that cross drilled/slotted stuff eats up pads a lot quicker. Something to consider for a daily driver.

There is also a place called EBC that sells rotors cheap in any color/style you want.

Your dad find a 944 yet?

I had actually ordered some rotors right before i saw kevins post. I ordered from R1 Concepts(group buy section). The car is only driven on weekends, so I thought about stopping the shipping, but figured i'd give it a shot. I have driven over 10,000 miles this year, but that includes a drive to kansas, florida, and chicago. I was putting 1500 miles/year on the jeep. I ordered Premium drilled/slotted, hawk hps pads, red caliper paint, and some fluid.

Guess that makes me one of those guys who asks for opinions and does his' own thing....

I'm still casually shopping for a 944. It would be something I'm buying for him, that's why I was looking to stay under $5,000. I have a buddy who has access to dealer auction sites been looking for me.

Had a quick trip to the ER last night for my foot, so I have to see how much time/money that's going to cost me. So money might be tight for a while. So brakes might be the only thing being installed for the next few months.

I have drilled/slotted on the Miata. Don't drive it that much to worry about pad wear. If you haven't had them before just know they do make a unique noise when you are slowing, you'll notice it with your windows down.

I'm calling it a "dislocated toenail".

Be sure to let me know if you happen to find a 944.

Guess I need to find a loud enough exhaust to mask the sound of the brakes.... sounds like win win to me

Sunday would be fine with me as long as everyone else is fine.

>A2wallen
Drilled and slotted shoud be fine for regular street driving. I had R1 concepts drilled and slotted rotors on my Solara which never seen track except for one or two autocross, and never had issue for almost 50,000 miles until I sold the car about 3 years ago, and I saw it still on my car when I saw it at a shopping mall one day end of last year...

Yeah, keep saying that I'm going to autocross or track this car, but don't see that happening anytime soon.

Drilled and slotted will be fine for street use. Just more money for nothing but looks as a gain.

FWIW, my Centric Premiums ran me less than $200 for all four when i bought them for the 8 from Rockauto.

Hope your toe gets better dude.

Tact, saw your car at the Expo today. It was funny, I offered my Miata for display but was told they already had one. Didn't see one there, maybe they swapped out cars?

I was told that they did have another car (probably the Miata you were told of), but ended up asking him not to come because of the space. it was probably smaller than they thought...
I think more race prepped Miata would be better display than mine or the BRZ we had.

anyhow, my throat is hurting so bad after talking to so many people while I was there on saturday.
hopefully someone will join so that I get discount on my next membership renewal... lol

Anyone know if I can remove the bulb for the TPMS icon without causing any other issues? The monitors wouldn't fit in the wheels we have on her car and I'm tired of looking at the damn icon.

This is for anything on your project list! It's more of that everyone can work on what they need and giving help when needed. I'll be doing fender and brake, if everything goes as its planned.

Or if nothing to do, there will be free food and drinks!my tools will be open to anyone, though my tool collection is kind of limited, there should be almost everything you may need for regular car work.
